What options do I have changing sons account?

you cannot split or transfer accounts, the xbox account is the microsoft account.

he can create a new account but he won't have access to the skins or battlepass items from fortnite etc as they are locked to the account that purchased them.

all the games purchased can still be played as long as your account is set as the home account on the console then he will have access to online and any purchased games.

Apoligies, I believe the exact option you need to allow in the privacy settings is:

“You can see and upload community creations” - set to “Everybody” - This option is under “Game content”.

There are a number of other privacy options to control your son’s online experience and preferences.

Of course, only allow the options that you feel comfortable with for your son. As your son is the child on the account, you’ll need to change the settings/permissions using your account.

When changing these settings, remember to select ‘submit’ to confirm and save any changes.

Just to add, your son will need an internet connection and be connected to xbox live to access online features in FH4 (and other games), including the Auction House.

To change your son's account, you'll want to choose that option to Add. It'll ask if you want to create a new account or to sign into an account that has already been created. So you'll just sign into the account you created for him and it will add it to the console.

You do not have to enter the password every time you turn on the console. Under settings there's an option to change sign-in preferences and you can change that option.

If the games are already installed on the console, you don't have to redownload them.

Step 1 is change the password.

Step 2 would be to teach your son about not sharing account credentials and this as an example of what can go wrong when you do.

Xbox one x does have an optical port on the back of the console. The controller that it comes with has a 3.5 mm so you can hook a pair of good headsets to them.

in my opinion, a good headset that uses the optical port are astro a50, and a good basic stereo headset to plug into the controller is hyperx cloud alpha. Of course there are alot of options out there.
