What the...?!!!

The guy that went 95-4 was nowhere to be seen, which leads me to believe that he was glitching.

The reason people are bothering to complain is pretty straight forward. They don't have to love it or leave it. All they need to do is scream loud enough, and Microsoft will cave in to their demands. Microsoft isn't even on the defensive anymore. The reality
is they are actually retreating, and even that is bordering on being routed outright, and honestly they deserve to be in that position. They pushed their customers to this point.

>

Microsoft has actually done the bare minimum necessary. While at the same time gouging their customers mercilessly, and their new console was the embodiment of that philosophy pushed to the extremes. Even the most ardent, and loyal of customers have their
limits. As to what kind of behavior they will tolerate, or what they are able to justify to themselves. It isn't helping matters either that Microsoft is reversing itself in the most idiotic way imaginable. If you say you can't, and that you wont do something.
Then end up doing it a week later.

>

Well that just agitates people further. They end up coming across as being liars. To people who are already upset about the entire situation, and these are the people that walk away with more leverage every time it happens. They get rewarded for their rage,
and it gets a boost, because Microsoft has compounded its crimes. Not just by lying to their customers, but by actually trying to strong arm the situation.

>

Microsoft is actually going about this the wrong way. Neither conceding ground, or standing their ground is going to work when it comes to silencing the naysayers. Both embolden them equally. What they need to do is actually concede far more ground then
is being asked from them. Give them the backwards compatibility, and remove the offending peripheral from some models. Then pack in a couple free games for the console. The nicer the gesture the harder it will be for those who are tearing down the console
to maintain their level of hostility.

>

Will they still have lost some consumers. Undoubtedly so, but at least those people wont have a case to bring before their peers. It is pretty hard to convince a lot of people to keep hating on a product. When it has become the product they wanted, at the
price they wanted, and the product is coming with extra goodies. That scream I am sorry for what I did. It would leave them with nowhere to go, or at the very least no way to be taken seriously.

>

What really confuses me about this chain of events. Is not how people have behaved. Gamers vest a lot of emotion into their hobby, but how Microsoft has handled this situation. These things aren't unprecedented. Other gamine companies have encountered these
problems. Some handled them well, and were able to somewhat recover. While others failed miserably. So they should be able to compare those situations to their current one, and determine which solution that worked. Should be the one that they should use.

>

Fighting with the customer has never once worked to my knowledge. It only makes the situation worse at the time that it is happening, and it makes the situation worse in the long haul, because it causes both sides to entrench themselves. Losing a customer
is obviously bad enough, but breeding a dedicated enemy only compounds the problem, because that enemy will intentionally poison future potential customers, and do it for many years. They don't just turn people off or your products. They infect them with their
hate. So people who haven't done business with you. Actually hate you for no other reason. Then someone they respect told them to.

Since the kinect is now off the table for complainers what will the(Y) find next to complain about?
This thread perhaps.

It will jot be removed from the box anytime soon, maybe if they have issues like rrod or something else which causes the systems lifespan to crash then you will see replacement consoles at a cheaper price directly from microsoft but I'm willing to bet they
will make sure you have the kinect from your old console. They have to make up those costs on the kinect r&d and they are most likely manufacturing equal numbers of kinect and ones, even if only a relatively few owners actually use the kinect the still need
to be able to tell game devs and publishers "yes everyone has a kinect, so go ahead and program for it" if you have kinectless sku then games which could possibly need kinect to function would have issues. As long as the devs know that anyone with an xbox
also has a kinect, even if its in their closet somewhere they know that people have it and can go plug it in when needed.

.

I'm sure the only kinectless sku you will find will be on used consoles from gamestop and others.

I'm hoping there could be a SKU that would satisfy me one day. How does that make a hypocrite?
Keep waiting
I will. I've got all the time in the world (or at least until the next next gen). Or, you know, maybe when the prices drop a lot I will just get One with Kinect and simply forget the Kinect in the box. Who knows, eh?
Prices are likely to drop quicker by continuing to include kinect. Drop the kinect concept and all that R & D money has to be made up on the console. so cheaper versions will take longer to appear.

Now what?

First off I had all 3 consoles tested for families.

The winner was always Xbox 360 because of Kinect.

The Wii was good but no one wanted to play it anymore after playing the Kinect.

Playstation…well the eye toy…that was a okay entertainment when he first eye toy came out.

That´s it.

I just talk about my experience and what I prefer.

My family is a Xbox family.

The ones that owned a ps3, changed after playing my 360 ;)

I will pick Xbox before playsation no matter what.

Why? Well I can connect better to the Xbox LIVE mentality and Microsoft then to playstation network and Sony.
