    What name shows up to friends on Xbox One?


    I just bought an Xbox One and upon setting up my Xbox Live account on there, I noticed its using my real name and there is no way to change that (or motto or any other information) on Xbox One. On the Xbox 360 however and here on xbox.com you can set your
    name to be whatever you want, and it doesn't affect what your name on your Microsoft account is. So my question is, what name shows up to your friends when they look at your profile on Xbox One? I change my name to funny things on my Xbox Live account frequently,
    but I don't want my real name as it appears on my Microsoft account to be used on Xbox Live.

    Yes it's correct on the forums. I changed it to AP0W which is what you see here. My friends told me that the new name shows up on their friends list just not in a party.

    Problems with xbox 360 gamertag

    I changed my name on xbox 360 but my old name still shows up in the party and im having trouble connecting to other parties. Does anyone know whats going on and how to fix it?

    The name it uses when you're signing in is only seen locally and is taken from the name you have set at

    I cant add my friend on battlefield 2042

    I'm having issues inside battlefield 2042 with inviting a friend (plays on xbox one X) and I play on Xbox series S, they are on my xbox friends list but not on my battlefield list, I tried typing their EA name and it doesn't show up, I had them look me up and the same for them...any ideas?
