What killed xbox live?

What? Xbox lives community has been the same since 2004 when Halo 2 came out, I don't know what "good ole days" your talking about. Also who cares grow a pair of balls.

God people are such beta nowdays, its all about "mah feelers" someone said something that hurt "mah feelers"

I'm with Chainsmokingbob with this one. Sounds like a mouthful and also pretty funny if you have to say all that in a clear, robotic, monotone voice. lmao!

 

Party Chat is a blessing and a curse at the same time. Social interactions (in my opinion) is what makes Xbox Live great. There will always be people who will act like jerks or play loud obnoxious music through their headset, but the mute/block communications
feature always helped in those situations. The state of gaming on xbox live nowadays is sad. You get in a game lobby and it's absolutely quiet. You might have one or two people who have a mic in game chat but they are afraid to engage in conversation. Oh how
I miss the days of friendly trash talking between teams or just sitting in a pre-game lobby just goofing around with other players.

 

I love the party chat and live in it 99% of my online gaming. In fact I set my voice and communications to "Friends only" about 2-3 years ago and will never go back.

 

I'm also a fan of party chat, but sometimes venturing out when the in-game lobby is blowing up is entertaining. I used to have my voice and communications set to friends only also.

 

The party system in xbox is now broken and I would rather listen and argue with people on games than deal with the issues of losing connection to the party every 30 sec, I don't pay 80$ a month for Internet and 60$ a year for xbox live to lagging out of
parties due to microsoft inability to keep its gamers happy, most of my buddies have already switched consoles and at this point in seriously considering it as well...

Party chat is a two sided coin. it has it's pros for not dealing with idiots, but it also has it's cons for creating a quieter online community. Some of the best gaming sessions I've had were in random public lobbies playing Perfect Dark Zero & Rainbow 6
Vegas. The randomness had a unique charm to it that you just don't get anymore.

 

Do people actually pay $60 a year for Xbox Live?!

 

I would hope not. I played around 35$ for a 12 month card on Amazon.
