What Just Happened to my Xbox1 ?

Came home to find that my Xbox 1 just deleted all of my profile and my kids profiles.So far just trying to recover their profiles. So what exactly happened? Is the console faulty or is this something I am going to keep having to do?

What just happened to my controller?

I have been using a charge thing to connect my wireless controller to my Xbox for about a year, so I didn't have to buy batteries.

However, tonight I have encountered a problem. I was just getting back on to send some friend requests, and I decided to use my good ol chatpad, which I hardly ever use. Well, when I plugged it in, it turned off my controller. Cutting it short, after some
experiments and raging, my controller simply will not work. When I plug the charger into, the light is green, which is normally off. Batteries do not work.

WTF just happened to my controller?

Is it official Microsoft brand hardware? Have you plugged the USB cable into anything other than your Xbox console?

Currently i don't, see the reason the console would have did this, re-downloading the profiles first seems like it's a good, first step if it occurs multiple times please reply back, here on the thread so you could receive proper assistance regarding this.

Hi Foregotten1,

It sounds like your Xbox somehow got reset to factory. Did you have to go through first time setup again? This is not something that is very common, so I would suspect you would not have to do this again. The profile settings and saves are backed up
to the cloud, so if you do have to reinstall the profiles, just add them back and let them download settings. I'd also check your games and apps to see if those require a reinstall as well. To answer your questions as to what happened, it could be 1. someone
reset it to factory, 2. there was a very rare system issue that I can't say I've seen. 3. There was an update that reset your system settings (I may have seen this once). To answer your other question, no, you shouldn't have to redo these settings.

Well I got the main profile back up and running and it seems I had to go through a couple of set ups for the profile itself like color scheme and such, but other things like background picture was still the same. So far the 2 apps i checked were fine,
just needed a resync and they both had their settings and auto login features still in place. Haven't checked out the games that may have been installed on the console yet though.

I just don't want to have happen again what happened on my 360 and its profile on there.

I have deleted the account and downloaded it again, a few times actually....

I will try changing my account setting (password) and see what happens there.

The only other xbox I have put my account is on my xbox1 and my xbox1 dont have the issues that my xbox does at all....

What kind of simple ISP problem could I be looking at?

This isn't Battlefield. You "shoot" out of the top of your head. Your gun is for looks only..The "bullet" (not even a bullet) lasers from the top of your head, so if it's on your screen, it's in front of you regardless of what superficial gun/body part of
your own may be in the way of some guy in front of you.

This game is just broken as hell...that's why this happens.
