What is wrong with My Xbox One S?

This is what has been happening:

Xbox started okay from Instant-on, I immediately started the disc based game Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition. Xbox powered off, and the controller light was flashing. After a minute or so the controller light stops flashing. I attempted to
power on Xbox using the controller, the controller light flashed, but Xbox did not turn on. Xbox was then powered on with a quick press of the power button. Console started as though it was in
Energy-saving, the light on controller stopped flashing.

Disc based game was started and it the console was fine.

What is wrong with my Xbox One?

Storage mainly fills up if everybody's been downloading full games on the console.

Randomly freezing and shutting off is possibly an issue related to:

- Poor ventilation (more info)

- Power supply issues (troubleshoot)

- Hardware failure (schedule a repair)

What is wrong with my Xbox One?

Does Anyone know what's wrong with my Xbox? It's been a little over a month since Christmas and my siblings and I have gone over 440/500 Gigabytes of storage. Just recently, our Xbox has been freezing up and shutting off without us touching anything. I unplugged

Hey there AD214N

Lets try this boot up the console as soon as you got a full boot (Average 3-4 minutes) hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds the console should shutdown unplug the cord giving it power and wait 5-6 minutes uninterrupted once done plug it back
in and try the game again.

If it shuts down again then factory reset the console so it has a new clean OS install alright thanks.

Maybe I am spoiled but it feels wrong to play Xbox with a controller someone messed with.

Maybe that´s one of my habits but I don´t hide that

How are you trying to power on your console - with the controller, or the button on the console itself?

Hey there NightShadeZee,

It sounds like there is a bunch of different things going on, I'm assuming you've already tried to power cycle the console of course, but have you tried a

factory reset yet? You have the option to keep your games and apps, which we'd recommend. Try that and let us know how it goes. Keep in mind though, after the reset you'll need to re setup any home associations and sign into your account again.

You are not sent a message as to what the issue was with the console. Usually, when Xbox gets your console in for repair they will send out a refurbished one to you to make sure you get one back quickly.
