    Gonna have to get used to massive patches and game installs i'm afraid.

    Going forward, games are going to get bigger and bigger as the consoles are pushed. Look how later games on the 360 came with two, or even three discs. COD Ghosts and GTAV for example.

    I don't think it will be long before we get 50 - 60gb games! If your internet has a download cap you might want to get that changed.

    I agree it should have been delayed, but the question is how long? Six months? People are still saying it's buggy, so should have been delayed even more than that?

    It is a good thing having this 10GB patch the devs already said by having this patch it reduces the size of the total game

    Also games are bigger then the 360. There no simple patches any more. The next WP update will be a couple GB. Because it be the whole thing being updated. And not parts of it. If the game is 20GB and half need to be fixing. It be 10GB data file patch. Before
    you complain about the WP part. The next update will replace WP8 to WP8.1.

    Battlefield 3 updates came in at over 1gb everytime, and there were quite a few. That game was, at most, 7gb. MMO patches are large as well. A game that comes in at double digit sizes would most likely have large patches as well. So I believe this is
    becoming the standard for current Gen games, but that also really depends on what they're patching.

    Then they're are just incompetent at making games then? Or perhaps they know people are sheep and will keep buying defective products? How else could E.A. keep selling broken games?

    Personally I think if the game is being shipped a glitch buggy mess (like Battlefield 4 was) then I think the likes of Sony/Microsoft/Steam/Nintendo seriously need to step in and tell these publishers to delay there game until it is in a acceptable state.

    Don't they do this with DLC? devs make DLC then send it to Steam/Microsoft/Sony to test and approve. If the DLC was not fully working they would decline the DLC for release until it is fixed. Like when I think it was Fallout New Vegas or Fallout 3 I can't
    remember. They made DLC it worked fine on 360 and PC but had issues on PS3. So sony refused them to release it on PS3 until it was fixed. I think the same happened with Skyrim as well if I remember right.

    But anyhow yer I think this is what they should do for full retail titles. Didn't something like this happen with Spider Man on XB1? They has issues so delayed the title by a few weeks?

  10. It's ridiculous, and I refuse to buy Dead Rising 3 or Ryse unless there's a GOTY/complete/etc edition with everything on the damn disc. They're releasing incomplete trash and pushing compatibility updates for DLC the size of the DLC itself. It's ***. At
    this point, the only thing I'm buying for XB1 is Halo MCC and maybe Halo 5. Ever since gaming went online, devs are just more and more lazy. Everything is riddled with glitches. Cartridge games barely ever had glitches, cause they had real quality control
    and released finished products.

    Maybe if they weren't trying to tack multiplayer onto every single game they release, things would run smoother. Whatever the case, standard game patches bigger than the game themselves were last gen is NOT normal progress and people should NOT be defending
    this inefficient nonsense. Bad enough they repeatedly show they could care less about load times and performance by cheaping out on the hardware, slapping us with long installs from BD instead of flash media, etc. A 5400RPM HDD on SATA 2 is NOT nearly current
    tech. It's a joke. Only a small percentage of people have 100mb+ internet in the US, and the rest get *** waiting all day for one update to one game. I'm not paying for half a game. I don't expect to spend my entire day downloading half of one when I put the
    disc in.

    We've had plenty of games with all of the above under 10 gig. PC games you also get on console can usually do 1080P with 60+FPS.

    I will admit I was shocked at the download size for Titanfall (50 gig) for PC. I'm still in awe. Where is it all? I only played a few maps. It was a free weekend.

    @Nolife prob with flash media cards. They cost more to make then BR. And you hit the nail about internet connect. Very few have right connection to dl data to a XB1. And thing is. Those ISP do not care about there costumer's needs. They only care the bottom
    buck and not the person is given it to them. I can moved where GOOGLE FIBER is at. I go with them. So I can dl stuff faster. Most connection we have in our home is outdated. I think the ISP needs upgrade there networks to newer tech to make it easyer to dl
    stuff. That why I have understanding that gaming tech moving faster then ISP updating there networks. I think best thing is to tell ISP to update there networks now or we grip more until they did.

    The real reason the updates are 100x the size they were last gen is probably that they're not compressing anything. You're not downloading patches for the files to update them. You're downloading new files all over again. Like I said, it's *** and inefficient.
