    What is up with the Microsoft Account system?


    The password recovery system is archaic. Some of the features--really tough captcha on an Xbox, poor password remembering, blocking any previously used passwords--are draconian for casual PC users and Xbox gamers.

    It basically requires writing down the password manually on a notepad (an actual physical notepad!) and hoping there are no input errors, or before you know it you're out of your typical passwords. So you have to write down the password, and use a special
    password. Because a Microsoft account is that special, as if it's not 2018 but it's 1998 (back when I wasn't the only person I knew with a PC). But that's not really a great comparison because in 1998 I didn't have to go through this god-forsaken system.

    Why is it like this?

    What is up with my account?

    What is wrong with it?

    Today I went on xbox and loaded up Modern Warfare 2 like normal, and i click the xbox guide button, and to my surprise;

    - My gamer picture is silver

    - No motto

    - No Bio

    - No Name

    - No location

    - No gamerzone

    - No GamerScore

    - In game my button layout and sensitivity is reset back to default.

    - When I go to the dashboard I have no Avatar or GScore.



    Im confused?

    It would seem that not allowing 360 wireless headsets to work with the Xbone, is a bit on the greedy side. Same with being allowed to party with 360 friends with your xbone, even just to chat, seems like a pretty simple thing to me... I can receive messages
    from them... Also, since PCs can do it with different hardware and software, why segregate 360 players and Xbone players from game servers like BF4 and Cod Ghost... It is the same game, especially with CoD.. In BF4 just have the option for 24 player servers
    for xbone owners to select.. Makes no sense how hardware requires a different Xbox Live server, and game servers...

    Also... Saying that a hardware change and software change in the Xbone from 360 disallows compatibility is also just another money making scheme (PS4 too).. Is there something special about Xbox hardware and OS that is different from PC hardware and OS
    that makes this not possible?? I think not..

    I didn't have any problems connecting to a party yesterday. I just figured out you have to click "Turn on party chat".. not a big deal, just something different. It took a while to figure out how to leave the party though.

    My Xbox 360 controller doesn't work with the One. I'm sorry, sarcasm, it was known that previous headsets weren't going to work with next-gen consoles for months.
