What is up with all the daily updates??

What is with all the daily updates that automatically throw you out of your game?

Im beyond fed up of it destroying my games...

Was playing State of Decay 2 and had a character built up and almost finished the Legacy and update starts out of the blue and kicks me out of the game while it proceeds. Come back to my game after the update and my main character is dead and my group almost
annihilated. Then the next day an update pulls me out of a game while im playing nhl 3's with some friends. Now it just pulled me out of a career game on nba2k18...

Im beyond fed up...these updates are almost daily and completely invasive...they completely pull you out of whatever game youve been playing and you can even have all the time and work put into a game completely destroyed as the update shuts your game down
without saving....

You guys need to quit making these updates take over and interrupt what were doing...

Whats up with all the errors?

SO I work these daily challenges and somewhere along the line there is an error involving collect reward or with adding 'coins' and it never happens. the page freezes and then I have to do the puzzle all over again. the one thing I see is that when the game
animated the coins it is dispersing, there is an extra coin all by itself floating and flipping until coins are finished with animation. it only happens in the jigsaw challenges and not in my classic play. also not in solitaire or any other game you have that
I play. also usually when this happens there is a failed load on an advertisement as well on these instances. maybe someone can find out whats up? could it be my Win10 causing it?

 

What is with all the lags

Atm XboxLive has a service alert so any lag or disconnections will be due to that. They said it may be 48 hours until it's fixed. I can sign in but a lot can't as there are only 60,000 on MW3.

 

I understand, if you want you could just opt out of the insider program and you won't get all those updates.

 

But daily updates??

Is that necessary?

And why do these updates have to pull us out of games?...

Can they not be downloaded later when we are done?

I do understand your concern for this cause, but be advised that all games and apps need updates.

The developer does push these updates through, so the games/apps will not have bugs or crash issues when playing through them in the future.

I do recommend before launching games/apps to always check for updates.

1. Games and apps> select all> updates<

2. Check for individual game/app update> Games and apps> select all> Games/apps> look for item (Highlight)> press start button on control> manage games and add on> updates<

Yes i know games and apps need updates....but almost daily?

And i have been checking prior to gaming after having had it happen quite a few times...never any updates needed, but a few hours later when they decide to release one they push it through and it boots me out of whatever im doing...destroying time and effort
put into a game...

Can these updates be released on a weekly basis?

Or allow us to update when we are ready?...

Never had my pc boot me out of what i was doing because i needed to update...

This is almost a daily occurence...

Never seen so many updates...

 

If you don't like the frequency of the OS updates just opt out of the insider program, You've already been told this by an ambassador but for some reason you don't like it.

Are they necessary? yes, Microsoft releases these updates to the OS to fix things, for example in the recent trial of the OS the party chat stopped working, that is a major problem for a lot of people, so the sooner they get it fixed the better.

 

If you don't want to leave the Insider Program, make sure your console is set for instant on mode. Updates will generally run when you're not using the console and you'll mever notice them. I've had mine that way since day 1 and can count on 1 hand how
many updates I've seen.

 

leaving the insider program still keeps you in this ring till a final build has been deployed. Please keep that in mind.

 

Erm...................it used to, but not any more.

I removed myself from the insider program when the latest build messed up the party chat system, the next day I had an update (I think it downloaded the most recent final build) and everything was fine. I also checked the OS version it was the one that
had been released a month or so ago.
