What is the sword badge?

I just noticed I have a new badge, but it doesn't show a name when I hover over it and the page doesn't have any information.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Excited I got it, but what is it and how did I earn it?

for dw between maces, axes and sword what is better? maces ignore armor but tad slower axes make them bleed , swords poss crits

My understanding is that you don't get to keep the badge however, it's rotated to the next awesome person on the forum.

Congratulations on getting it though. It's nice to see the positive side of the Ambassador program on here.

 

It's not just ambassadors who can earn it though. Anyone who is helpful on the forums has a chance to earn the sword badge.

 

Knowing my luck, I would get the sword badge on a weekend, when I normally don't post on the forums.

 

You get to keep Mr Swordy for at least 2 weeks so it would still be there after the weekend.

Reassuring, but I'm never "awesome on the forums". lol. I try to help when I can, but I think I'm naturally a bit of an instigator. =D

 

The sword's not new,it's been about for nearly a year now.

 

The thing is that they haven't updated
www.xbox.com/.../iconsandlevels page for a good while now to reflect the new badges.

Such as the changes to the Ambassador badges, the Unicorn icon, and now the sword badge.

Given that, its not surprising people think it is new when they've never seen it before and it isn't listed on the official badges page.

 

True but it's good to have a bit of mystery about every now & then
