    What is the difference between the Xbox one s and the Xbox one s all digital?


    So, there is a question I have been wanting to ask, what is the true difference other than a missing DVD reader between the Xbox one s and the all digital version.

    Nowadays they are pretty similar in price, maybe 10-50 dollars less, but Microsoft still could have saved some more money by removing the drive and all dependencies on it.

    And I was thinking that they could have changed something else, wether it's a different hdd, cpu/gpu/Apu, or other motherboard upgrades.

    If they didn't change anything else thst is complete understandable, this is just a question asked from my curiosity.

    Hi,

    If you've got 360 or Xbox One games on disc then all digital machine isn't for you. The only difference between the standard One S and the all digital is the lack of an optical drive on the latter machine. Microsoft haven't stopped making the One S.

    Aside from the disc drive, the One S was also released with a 500 GB, 1 TB, or 2 TB hard drive. The All-Digital version is only available in 1 TB. That's the only other difference.

    Fyi the xbox series s/x has no one in it

    This is to reduce the confusion between series s/x and one when it comes to.compatibility

    Only the xbox one s all digital is the only xbox one that isn't compatible with discs

    However there is no limitation as far as xbox one other then the digital only console as far as xbox one games goes

    Vs the series x /s they are backward with xbox one and with the series s limitation as far as discs goes
