What is the difference between the Worlds in Minecraft Starter Collection and Master...

If you already have purchased the Starter Collection, I wouldn't recommend purchasing the Master Collection as well. The difference between the two collections is that the Master Collection comes with 1000 Minecoins, while the Starter Collection comes with
700 Minecoins. Besides the Minecoin difference, the Master Collection includes a few more Skin packs. On the

product page in the Microsoft Store, click on "Compare editions" next to "Overview" for an outlined view of the differences.

Thanks for coming to the forums. The reason there is no option to install. There are only the

starter collection and master collection for sale. A lot of different games are doing this now, where the base game is not able to be purchased on its own.

Minecraft Starter Collection includes the Minecraft base game, 700 Minecoins to get maps, skins, textures packs and more from the in-game Marketplace, and the Starter Pack DLC.

You don't need to use Minecraft Launcher, but it will help you save time by having all your Minecraft games accessible from one location. The Minecraft Launcher provides access Minecraft for Windows, Minecraft: Java Edition and Minecraft Dungeons. But again, you don't need it to play Minecraft specially if you have only one game version of Minecraft.

All of these include the Aquatic update.

The collection versions have some additional skin packs and virtual coins with which you can buy other game modes, texture packs or skins for your player character.

But just by getting the
cheapest "Minecraft" edition will allow you to play the Update Aquatic and the Pandas and Cats update.

This page will show you what is included when you buy the Master Collection (i.e. the "cheapest Minecraft edition" plus "Adventurers
Dream by Noxcrew" which is an additional playmode, PureBDCraft an enhanced texture pack to make Minecraft look prettier, etc...)

And this page will show you what is included with the Starter edition. Basically it's the cheapest Minecraft edition with some "costumes"
for your characters and a texture pack to make Minecraft look a bit more like plastic.

Unfortunately the base game of Minecraft Windows 10 Edition is only included in the

Starter Collection or the
Master Collection. The Starter Collection is a pretty good deal as you get the base game plus additional in-game content for one low price.
