If your on different consoles I'd have Skype snapped so you can interact that way, if you mean in-game I haven't got a clue as I've never played Madden.

I find a lot of people like to trash talk or talk trash in order to get an edge online against their opposition - this is NOT an affective method, at least not for making friends (in fact, it is more likely to get people to avoid you). Instead, I've discovered
that you can still get an edge over your opposition by making fun of the situation you're in rather than the person you're playing. For example, when playing Killer Instinct on the Xbox One and playing Thunder (the American-Indian stereotypical character),
I often like to say, "Me... Big Bear-Red Man (because he's big, and wears red warpaint with a skinned bear on his head). You... Dead Man Walking." This often makes people laugh (and even becomes literal when they pick Spinal, the "living" skeleton) instead
of getting them frustrated or angry. This, in turn, helps everyone involved have fun and makes it easier to start opening a dialogue with the other player and hopefully, in the end, make a new friend.

Unfortunately, I don't really play sports games, so I can't give you any examples specific to that, but I think you get the idea. Also, being friendly, showing good sportsmanship, praising your opponent for doing a good job (even if they lose), and offering
tips to improve their performance (or even asking them for tips to improve yours) are all great ways to start a dialogue and make new friends as well. Trust me, it works - I've done it.

Too many quicktime events. Not the best game. Best part is round-house kicking zombies in the head with Leon and watching their heads explode.
