  1. What is needed on the Project Scorpio with V.R

At E3 with the announcement of the Project Scorpio , Phil Spencer announced this would be the most powerful console on the market , and now saying the console won't be made to compete with the most powerful systems , is this guy for real ? contradicting
himself and backpedaling on what was announced? I sure hope not because we don't need the Xbox to suffer another flop from bad decision making like the ones made when the Xbox One was released seeing customers go for the PlayStation instead.... 2 things to
take into account here.... 1) It is expected that a powerful console will realistically cost more money than the previous consoles , so whoever is expecting to get the Project Scorpio at a cheap price forcing xbox to cut corners on performance is simply not
being realistic when it comes to the cost of components and manufacturing a system like this , I personally am happy to pay the extra coin as an investment for a more powerful system and gaming/ multi media entertainment..... and 2) Phil Spencer from what
it seems doesn't have V.R in mind despite the opportunities the Xbox Scorpio will have, the one thing the Xbox has that isn't getting used very much and would fit in to the grand scheme of V.R is the Kinect , allowing the Scorpio to use the Kinect and offer
as an option a more expensive version of the Xbox Project Scorpio with the Kinect built in would be a great start, the other part is the merchandising aspect of a 4k V.R headset that will also be compatible with P.C on windows 10 allowing for more reach than
Sony has, simple games to be created using the V.R head set and kinect will open new possibilities for developers and the gaming community. This new concept for V.R being added to the Xbox Project Scorpio with the integrated use of the Kinect is the intellectual
property of my self Shayne Rowe owner of this account and can only be integrated with Xbox technology should an agreement be made between myself and Microsoft Xbox under contract.

    :)

Thoughts, wants, rumors and predictions at E3?

    My predictions...

More info on the Scorpio, such as price, V.R. capabilities (Fallout 4 featured on the demo.), and a new version of Kinect. New Halo in the works. Randy Pitchford making an appearance announcing, Borderlands 3. Fable making a comeback with a new studio.

Believe the launch price of the Scorpio will be $699.98.

VR is a fad until the technology gets better. It needs to be a wireless headset. The headset needs to be lighter and not require you to strap on what amounts to a heavy set of snorkel goggles (thus encouraging and collecting brow sweat in copious amounts
all over). I am thinking when the goggles are about as light and easy to deal with as a set of sunglasses then many will be interested. I think we are seeing that VR is not ready for mainstream (only sales are tech heads right now), look at PSVR, not selling
out. I do agree that kinnect tech has a place in future AR/VR projects. I am fine with MS waiting to implement when the tech/games are ready...not jumping the gun with half-@*s underpowered components.

Burnin TODI nailed it! Until there's some kind of economy of scale and a VR headset can be mass produced in a sleek, invisible format, there will always be resistance from the market. Even those newfangled 3D glasses didn't sit well with early adopters and
they were much closer to normal optics than a clunky VR headset. We're still a year out or thereabouts from Scorpio. Who knows if VR is just another fad, or a truly next-level device? I could care less because all I need to 'focus' on is upgrading my TV monitor
and receiver - AGAIN! - to be 4k ready for Scorpio. Give me a break already! >.<

I'm not into VR wearing the gigantic goggles. Xbox Scorpio will have a bandwidth of 320GB/s, that's higher than PS4 Pro's bandwidth. It will also have a 4k Blu-ray player. No one knows yet the official clock speed of the AMD APU/CPU yet. PS4 Pro's AMD Jaguar
clock speed is like 2.13Ghz. However Sony has set a RRP price in NZ for PS4 Pro of only NZ$638. Microsoft isn't going to beat this with Scorpio, they'll probably add in a few extra dollars. But Scorpio ought to have a Kinect port, rather than expect users
to buy a Kinect dongle thingy like with the Xbox 1 S. No consoles will not match the power of high end gaming PC's. But when Xbox 1 released, they should have went with GDDR5 which has close to 3x the memory bandwidth than DDR3. Maybe VR technology will improve
in the next 5-10 years. It's not like they're going to stick a high end desktop Intel Core i7-6700k in Xbox Scorpio. Even my AMD R9 390 on my PC has a higher bandwidth of 384GB/s. Most people experience internet connection problems too connecting to parties
and games. Even the Internet Infrastructure is not even ready for 4k streaming. Our planet is big, pings, open NAT, ISP's, a lot of devices using the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequencies (why can't we invent a 3 or 6 or 13Ghz frequency or some other numbers other than
those two common channels, Ethernet connection ties you down, wireless offers freedom). I'm with Vodafone NZ I live in a big city, and even my friends on XBL who live in major cities in NZ/Australia/US/UK experience connection problems. It's 2016 and the Internet
Infrastructure is STILL not 100% reliable.

While 'they' claim VR is a nascent technology, unless 'they' hit certain sales parameters (thus leading to economies of scale where a refined headset can be mass produced), for all we know VR may very well go the way of the DODO. What's a dodo you might
ask? It's an *extinct* bird. Ditto for Kinect. In a year's time, who knows what kinda RABBIT Microsoft can pull out of a hat to DOVETAIL nicely with Scorpio's launch? (See what I did there? What is needed on the Project Scorpio with V.R :p)

Who are 'they'? Erm, the bean counters; the people in suits; the powers-that-be that decree which technology rises or falls! I must be in a verbalicious mood today, so let me just correct my earlier statement, re mass-friendly VR which might accommodate
a "sleek, INVISIBLE format". Obviously, if VR was truly invisible, nobody would know you're wearing it! So, I guess I meant a sleek, WEARABLE format - kinda like sunglasses or a futuristic, lightweight visor. Yeah, that's it! However, the best way to experience
VR in the here and now - to truly feel like you're wearing a high-tech, dongle-free or "invisible" interface - is to STEP OUTSIDE. It's kinda like a realtime 3D experience that doesn't cost you a cent! Now where's that #sarcasm emoji, eh?

Firstly: Those are not actually "channels", but frequency bands.

The Wi-Fi alliance has branded Wigig (IEEEs 802.11ad), which operates in the 60GHz unlicensed RF band with theoratically speeds up to 8 Gbps.

The technique you find in most networking devices today are as much as five years ahead of client devices, or even more in some cases.

  9. vr is as useless as 3d tvs and at e3 the stats given were getting to a good pc rig but pc hardware is improved more rapidly (gpu's now were only in dev at e3) but i think that the main selling point is that scorpio is going to be up gradable a bit like pcs
(so you can upgrade the gpu as they get better) pretty sure it will be hololense compatible (but still not a fan of that. what i would like to know though is if you can up grade it will you have to buy the new 'xbox' graphics card or would you be able to get
a AMD card and put that in (im guessing not, either way its better than the ps-pro sooo...
