what is my pc detecting my xbox 360 for?

If the wireless adapter is designed to work with PC, it should detect the Xbox 360 controller and work perfectly in Windows and in-game.

I never liked WMC - I couldn't use it for live TV and it could detect all of my media (pictures, music, and video). The media it could detect was slow to load. As a matter of fact, the entire thing was slow regardless of the platform I used it on (which
was PC and the Xbox 360).

It may have worked wonders for some people, but for me it was a waste of time and space, especially since I could do the same thing simply through streaming my content directly to the Xbox 360. The whole thing was unnecessary.

So, do I miss it? No, I don't.

What I do miss is being able to stream my media from my PC - to be able to play my music, watch my videos, and view my pictures. That would have been nice to have, sans WMC.

Update: I've managed the xbox to detect the network by setting up a static IP and gateway.

Now the xbox won't connect to the internet due to DNS errors.

Anyone have any suggestions to what I change my DNS to on my pc and what I put on my xbox to get it to connect?

Xbox 360 controller needs a special adapter, for detect controller on PC. If you want play with xbox controller on PC I recommend Xbox ONE controller.
