What is Microsoft's next big move?

Shenmue 3 exclusive to Xbox One with Shenmue 1 and 2 as part of a remaster collection.

Totally agree! and with a lot of sites voting Ryse the best looking next gen game so far, got to laugh at the constant .... "Xbox One just isn't up to par" ..

To be honest though I just don't get this obsession since the new consoles launched with "graphics/FPS/resolutions" etc, I honestly think it's just a fanboy thing in their CHILDISH constant war of words with each other. I mean, take the ( hopefully ) soon
to be released Minecraft, quite a few sites predicting it could be one of the most played game this year, is it about the looks?

And before anyone says ... "Well if it's not about better graphics, then why did you upgrade" ... because there's already quite a few games I couldn't of played on my 360, Forza 5, Dead Rising 3, Ryse etc etc

 

Microsoft should be using the Ryse Siggraph award in their advertising. Xbox One has the best looking games. FACT!

 

I think they just recently announced Shenmue 3 for only PS...surprisingly!?? Dumb move...

But I agree on the fact that I AM enjoying the ride but I still love my Xbox brand and would love them to stick it the media and PS in one big, :Holy .... I never saw THAT coming" moment.

As far as Ryse goes, they should really look at investing in Crytek since they are struggling in the funding dept. right now to get them to keep working on a Ryse 2 sequel. Ryse, although it was rather a short experience with little reason to play online,
is still one of the best looking launch games I can remember in the past 2 generations and a great story driven game that everyone should play.

 

With all they did this past year,i can wait until next E3 (or later),for another move (good or bad).....

 

Umm. They could have used that R&D money spent on the controller, and what they later threw at devs for Titanfall, and now Tomb raider, and used it to actually bring to market a pure 'next gen' gaming console, which also runs apps/etc perhaps?

It's not too late to revisit the old 'drawing board.'

 

...or square shaped disc maybe... hmmm...

 

i hope it will be Family Sharing, i'd like to see it more evolved to be more like Share Play on the PS4.

and there is no need to go back to the drawing board, almost every new game release is getting closer to parity with the PS4, and i've seen a lot of the PS4's top shelf games, Ryse still looks just as good or better.

 

More backward compatible games on the X1 would help a lot. The Master Chief collection will be wonderful bringing H1, H2, H3, and H4 to the X1. Even though it is not technically backward compatible, it is bringing games over from previous gen consoles.

 

Cam, bringing older games back already appears to be happening en masse, so I wouldn't be to worried on that front.

 

MS buys all the publisher. MS will be surely evil then.

 

I don't see how the Xbox One is designed to last 10 years. At some point they will need to update/upgrade the hardware. So, I'm thinking in the next year or two, they will redesign the shape/size with a GPU/hardware upgrade.

...and once again slap all early adopters in the face. lol

 

No I disagree more like 5 years. But yea no why its going to last like last gen.

 

Maybe not 10 years, but I'd guess 7-8 years, just look at what they achieved with the 360.

 

^ No way it lasts even three/four years with its current hardware. The 360 never experienced the amount of scrutiny the XO has, and still does.

Like it or not, the resolution and FPS discussions that dog it are not going to go away. It's going to have to be "resolved" by MS, at some point or another.

In my opinion, anyway.
