What is going on with windows store/xbox app

sorry to hear. Partly I agree with you. In some games the download server is simply overwhelmed, they did not expect such an onslaught there. And YES some games require to be installed on C
for whatever reason. But offten, the individual systems do not meet all the requirements: Simply missing updates from Windows Updates or the Store app / XBOX services are not running / the Computer logs into the store with a different account
/ corrupted HDD and so on. So basically, the computer offers a system that is open for the user (compared to the XBOX console) and so many ways do something wrong!!! Finally, I also think that MS would have subjected the Gamepass for PC to a longer and biger
beta test and would also test the individual games included. But I also believe that we users here in the forum find solutions really often and quickly.

So I've been having an ongoing issue with the xbox game pass for PC. A lot of the titles on there such as Gears 5, Saints Row IV, AoE and a few more I've found just won't download on either the windows store or xbox app. There's a few games that I have been
able to download without any issues. I just don't understand why some games will download and others won't.

I've tried contacting several live support agents and each time have gotten absolutely no where. Was even told by one that my issue will be lodged with the specialist team and that I will be contacted via email, which was nothing but a way to just brush
me off.

I'm having the same problem. I played Gears 5 with friends on Friday and it worked great. I left for the weekend with my family and came back and I get some sort of update error when launching Gears 5. It won't even let me physically uninstall the
game off my E: drive. The drive size doesn't change. I'll choose to uninstall and the icon disappears. I reinstall on same drive and it counts up to 62Gb in a matter of seconds and says it's installed....but it fails on patch. It does this over and
over. I have since reinstalled the game on C: drive but how do I get the files taking up 62Gb of space off of my E: drive? This is ridiculous.

I’ve been having this issue for about a month now, with no kind of support from useless microsoft agents. I think i’ll be demanding a refund for this 2 month trial. It may have only been $2, but it’s the principle. No way in hell am I paying the regular
monthly cost lol

The server may be down i had recently contacted microsoft for a problem i was having the guy was very rude

This is what fixed this problem for me.

• open windows app store (microsoft store)
  
• log out from your primary account (in the microsoft store)
  
• go to windows services
  
• stop "windows update service"
  
• erase contents of folder: C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution
  
• restart your computer
  
• open windows app store, log in yourself
  
• start xbox app (beta)
  
• download game
