What is going on with the headset already ??

I should mention that I have the headset the came with the Xbox One.

Up until about 2 days ago my headset was working perfectly fine, though I was barely using it. But 2 days I wanted to chat with my friends so I put on the headset and it was perfectly fine. Then my batteries run out (as usual) but I have a bit of a problem
and I constantly turn odd the controller to save energy. But this time when I opened it, the headset didn't. I experimented with it a little and here is what was going on:

I am in a party, people are talking, can't hear them from headset and they can't hear me either. The Mute button light was constantly on and I believe I would press the + and - buttons and O could hear the sound they normally make. While the controller was
turned off, I would lightly tap the "Guide Button" (?), but just tap it not hold it long enough for the controller to turn on, but the light on the mute button would turn on for about 2-3 seconds. Tried a lot to fix it, nothing paid off.

Next day I found a usb cable to connect my controller and I went to the setting and updated it along with the headset. I created a party by myself to see if it was working and the icon would show I was talking like normal.

Today my friend gets online and I go to talk with him and I noticed that the party said I was talking, he could hear me, but I could not hear him. Actually, the true is I could hear him but it was insanely low volume. I go to adjust the volume with the +
button. No sound when I pressed it and the volume stayed as low as possible. The mute button was also not working along with its light. And for something extra, I could hear actual in-game sounds from my headset but not all sounds and with a delay. Pretty
annoying.

So now I can't talk with my friends. At least with Warframe they can talk with their mic and I can respond with text.

Where was the wireless headset?

wow, still no tiny wireless headset like the Xbox 360 had. # Xbox One E3 Fail. What is going on, you have a avarice headset but no wireless headset that doesn't ruin my surround sound I already have snd is better than two headphones. I hope that new headset
has built in wireless headset for chat only.

 

What is going on with the servers?

nah all of my games are installed to hard drive. as in i got them from market place. it was working fine up until a week ago when i started noticing i was getting dropped from games. it was one game once in awhile and then last night boom. all of my games
dropped me. i had no problem with my internet last night with my computer or playing any other game on my hard drive. it was just the halo reach one. i think i will re download it and recover my gamertag just in case both of them are corrupt

 

23 days later and still nothing. Mic still works. I still can't hear other people. Mute button light still not functioning. Lowering/increasing volume still has no sound indication.
