What is going on with my NAT?

Yesterday I was playing Assassin's Creed IV online, and on top of the screen it shows your NAT status, it was green so it was perfect! This morning I turn on the game, the NAT is yellow and I am not able to find any game to join, I turn off my Xbox One,
turn it back on, get back on game and now the NAT status is red. What is going on? This is stupid.

What is going on with my stats

Every-time I switch my computer off Microsoft Solitaire suite wipes all my stats, so next time I open the app there are no stats.

What is going on with FORZA!

tried to download forza 6 last night for the free 14 day free play, got to 60 or so percent before crashing my whole console, tried for about 3/4 hours to fix the problem as it wouldn't let me sign in or use any of the apps or games. So I deleted the half
finished download and went to bed. Weirdly it fixed itself about 20 mins after I woke up, so I tried to download forza 5 as it's free today...same deal can't log in when I want to, but when it does log me in it says I have zero download speed although I'm
running 60mps and I don't want to wait another 24 hours hoping it magically fixes itself again, anyone having the same issue with these games?

Did you do port forwarding. I did that at the beginning when my NAT type would constantly change from moderate to strict to open when it was open on the 360. Now after doing port forwarding my NAT status stays on Open. Of course I've run into a new issue
with the preview update constantly changing my IP address every time I start the Xbox One up forcing me to change it back to its original Address to get onto live.

All you have to do is look on these forums, loads of problems regarding NAT I have also got same sort of problem with NAT but post is ignored!

The X1 is *** and there ignoring a problem that is clearly there problem as I have done every thing to fix this and still got the problem.

My problem is soon as i start my Xbox and check my network (some thing I shouldn't have to do!) it's always strict when I test it comes back fine.

Then I press all 4 top buttons it says some thing about behind cone and when I back out my NAT is then suddenly open.

This is unacceptable and I have had enough with this broken console!

I had the same problem. I have a BT home hub. This is a security setting on your modem/router. You have to tell the router to always assign the same IP, you're router will have a settings page on aan IP address of something like (192.168.0.1). This is how
I solved it with my home hub (taken from the BT forum):

To solve the 'Strict NAT' problem if you have a Hub 3:

Hold down the Reset button on the back of your BT Home Hub 3 for 20 seconds to clear any old port mappings. You'll need to use something like a paperclip or pin to do this.

Turn on your games console.

Open your web browser on your computer and type in to
http://bthomehub.home to open the Hub Manager.

Click the Settings tab. You'll be asked to enter a password.

Click on Advanced Settings, then Home Network.

Your games console will be listed on the devices table. It may be identified by its MAC address, for example "Unknown-00-0d-3a-be-48-c8". You can find your games console's MAC address on a label, or by looking at the console's management pages.

Click on your games console in the connections list to open a detailed information page.

At the bottom of this page there's an option to Always use this IP address. Click Yes followed by Apply.

Why do you not use UPnP? That is what I use on my router and my NAT type is open. Many times when you show a moderate NAT when testing from network settings once you go into a game like COD it will go to a strict NAT.

Sometimes this is a NAT issue. This controls what you can do with other users online. To see what your NAT type is, go to the My Games and Apps icon, then click on Apps, then Settings. Now , go into the
Network icon and you should see in the middle of the box your NAT type. If it is set to Moderate or Strict, there is the problem. here is a link
