    What is going on with my friend list and messages?


    Ok so this is kind of strange.

    First, often when somebody in my friend list messages me the message will disappear before I have chance to read it. Any conversation I had with them will remain, but only my messages to them are visible... anything they've messaged to me will be gone.

    Also, xbox is randomly removing people from my friend list. Just a couple of days ago I was playing Elder Scrolls Online and was in a party with 3 friends. Suddenly, without any reason, the party went quiet. All 3 of my friends had become muted in the party
    and removed from my friend list.

    Can anybody shed light on this please?

    I have a full friends list but now it's just bad no friends on there at all...

    Yes. I have had the same problem sending messages to people who aren't on my friends list. It's been going on for 3 months. If I send them a friend request and if the friend request is pending I am able to send them a message with no problem. If they aren't
    on my friends list I get a message that says message could not be sent "xbox live" I am on the phone with microsoft now and they don't know what's going on. If I send them a message like 15 or 20 tries sometimes I can get a message to go through.

    Same here. Same message, but I see some people on my friends list playing the game! Don't know what's going in. Does anyone here know how to fix this?

    Says I have no friends added when trying to invite my friend.

    I'm on PC, I have a similar, but different issue. my friends list is empty, but if I go to my messages and click on the profiles of my friends, they then reappear on my friends list. Even though my profile shows 200+ followers and 69 friends, my friends list is still empty. and yes I am signed in to my Xbox account.

    Why do some hide their recently played games?

    I hide my games played/friends list, etc., due to the recent onslaught of all the modding/hacking going on on Xbox Live. I guess I feel a little safer. My friends are able to see my games.

    I'm tired of getting "flamed", spammed with all the messages I receive offering infections, etc. I hide my friends list so they won't be bothered.

    I also gave up accepting "random" game invites because you don't know what kind of a game you are going to get into.
