What is Game sharing???

So my friend did the Game share thing with me but i don't understand,do i have to be signed in on his account to play the games he shared or can i just play them on my own account I tried to play GTA 5 but it said enter disc or go to microsft store can anyone
explain to me?

Your friend would need to set your console as their Home console in order for you to access his games. You do not need his account after that and you should not share account information.

 

Game sharing is when you home another account on your console. That will allow the other account to play what ever games your have purchased on your console. You are only suppose to use this for people in your household.

 

I think you're referring to the Home Xbox feature. Please note that, that is not the way the feature was intended to be used.

Interchange console home is only intended for family householed and for working you need to remember a few things.

You can play online and offline only on your console home, with the sharing "thing" your console is NOT your "home console" anymore

so You always need to be online, if your connection goes down, even for a few minutes, you can see that message "enter disc or go to microsft store "

At least one of you need to be gold.

THE sharing is ONLY for digital games.

for disk game, of course, the disk must stay inside the console while playing.
