    What is Elder Scrolls online?

The Subscription fee of $15.00 should be QUICKLY removed before The Elder Scrolls Online gets officially released, Zenimax TRULY needs to make The Elder Scrolls Online more like Guild Wars 2, meaning allowing gamers to purchase the game for the $59.99 retail
price and then automaticly start playing the actual complete game after the game is installed onto gamers' machines and after gamers have signed up for a free membership account online to log into the game a start playing the game right away folks,... Sheesh,
when will these MMORPG developers learn how to STOP being so greedy???!!!

The people on here crying about the sub fee do realize that the sub fee is what helps maintain and further develop the game like any other MMO in existence, There are very few MMOs out there that have gone F2P without having to sacrifice major components
of the game as a result of being a F2P player. Sub fees are a model that are never going to go away for MMOs. If that is the only MP game that you are going to be playing on Xbox One then buy the game on PC. If you are already paying $50/year to play other
multiplayer titles online for Xbox One then again quit whining about it. Either buy the game or not but this business model for these types of games are not going away for a while. I have been playing MMORPGs since their inception and know from experience
the gameplay quality that gets compromised as far as user experience for the most part as a result of being a free to play member.

  3. Honestly, from the trailers and without seeing anything about the betas, I cant help but think of a mix of Rift, WoW, Diablo III, and Runescape. Meaning, it looks to be a great game, however, if the X1 version manages to get a smartglass support, and not
blow at game play, this will definitely be worth it. However, still not on my preorder list yet (unless there was a bonus for preordering I didnt hear about yet).

    What is Elder Scrolls online?

From what a friend described to me earlier, its Skyrim online. While I am a huge Skyrim fan, the monthly fee is a major turn off. The way my friend described it was, if I miss a week or two of playing it Ill be left without friends to play with due to a
lack of commitment. I have no interest in paying $15 bucks a month ontop of full retail to play a game, I need to play based off of when friends are playing it. Sadly he thinks I will be the only one without it, when reality is he will be one of my only friends
    , with it.

  5. It's an MMO with probably massiva "Player versus Player" areas What is Elder Scrolls online? :)

can be amazing if the servers are great and the communication pannel for Xbox is powerfull, an MMORPG without com' can be boring

This is one of the many concerns I had. I love Skyrim, but I don't want to play it online. Go online coop with any game and it becomes a competition where people tend to rush through and miss the subtle nuances that make games like Skyrim great IMO.

This is why the monthly fee is also a major turn off for me. If it were just the $59.99 for the game itself I'd be willing to at least try it, even if it wasn't really something I felt was 'for me'. I say that realizing that I probably wouldn't hate the game...
but therein lies the problem. I'm not going to pay $15 a month, on top of the price of the game, to occasionally play a game I'll likely feel neutral about, but will still want to play sometimes.

Then, what happens when the next round of great games are released? Like Destiny, Watchdogs, The District, Halo... etc.? I'm sure not going to just play any of those games for a few days and be done with them. I'll probably spend months playing each, maybe
longer depending on the MP. It may not seem like a lot, but spending $15 a month for a game that may or may not get played for several (or more) months at a time is still a waste of my $ and that's just silly.

This could be a great game on a subscription model.

It's just a shame they appear to be being so greedy about it.

I have to agree, I watched the trailers and have had a good nosey into this title, it looks fricken awesome, but, that monthly sub is also putting me off.

I also played to PC beta, and the trailer is cinamatic, and pitches the graphics like a film, the beta test would be scale graphics, but anyone watching the trailer and thinking it looks, plays or feels like that is going to be very dissapointed.

I am a massive ES fan but didn't enjoy the beta, and wont be paying for it, my son also did the beta and he loved it and is even looking to get a job to pay for it.

WoW has a lot of people paying those prices, so it could work but IMO I don't think it live up to ES, and thats why I wouldn't pay for it, but each to either own.

Really looking forward to the next installment of ES in their main series.

  11. No one has mentioned the fact that there is a huge difference between PC and console. More so on mmos without pause. To compare WoW and ESO is a bit of a stretch. We have the PC beta atm but how this will turn on the console is a bit questionable. Think
of how often you paused to switch weapons on Skyrim.

  12. well the video posted in this thread does no justice for the game...8 mins of cutscene footage, big whoop. Lets see that overpriced repetitive gameplay footage...oh wait they wont go down that road.

No, it is impossible to look the corpse of your enemy in PvP. You can not take someone’s gear and nobody can take your gear or your money. When you kill an enemy you need to loot it to receive alliance points.

    Woohoo! Elder Scrolls online!!

I really love the elder scrolls games, I have for a very long time. Which is why I have no interest in the elder scrolls online. What makes the elder scrolls exceptional, what gives it its own flavor, is its focus on the single player immersion. Taking WOW
mechanics and setting them in the elder scrolls universe really holds no interest for me.
