    What is being done if anything?


    How old is your router? I had a 6 year old router running an older wireless G system and I had to request a new one in order for my new phone and Xbox one to connect properly. If it is old, it is possible that the NAT and other settings are not working properly
    or not up to the task. My old router even gave me occasional problems with Xbox 360.

    I'm sorry Sparky. Although I will keep looking into what more I can do to help you guys.

    @CoDFather, no one in here dropped the ball. As none of us actively work for Xbox. Pointing fingers is still getting you nowhere. Trying to peacefully resolve a problem is always nice.

  3. Well I am on the preview and see all these issues, all we get told is the devs are working on fixes for issues, all we in the preview can do is report these issues when they are still there after the update goes live to you guys , all we can do now is wait
    and hope its not too long, so for now just the short term fix re-boot and other troubleshooting help, not everyone knows what steps to take so you will always be told what to try.

    Ok, to the guy who thought I was threatening to jump ship you need to back up and READ what I wrote.

    To those that were helpful, thank you.

    Now, with that being said here's where I'm at. I have TWC for highspeed internet. I also have their upgrade service in Turbo. Their modem/router is one unit. I run my cable through my One. So I am running my One for most of the day for TV, bluray, Netflix,
    games, and internet browsing. My one is in an open space breathing freely. Hard lined directly to my TWC box.

    I've been playing online a long time I know when the problem is on my end. The Nat type changing while playing could be a fluke i.e. bad weather or local service but others I've played with have experienced the same thing. However, I will say that its only
    happened on Advanced Warfare.

    All the other problems I've mentioned I'm certain are due to the console. Many of my online and long time Xbox friends all say the same thing. Not here to bash the system I just wanted to know will things get fixed sooner rather than later.

    Hey there, I'm just looking over all your issues and I'm seeing a lot of similarities with issues I was having. And it ended up being a problem on my end: My Network.

    I have been a Comcast/Xfinity subscriber for over a decade and try to keep my internet at it's highest. And like a schlub I thought Comcast was keeping me up to date on my hardware and I was always getting the most out of my service, especially as I had/have
    no idea how home networks actually work, and I am paying over $100 a month for my internet. Bottom line is I was on an old high speed modem that they had provided to me and a wireless router I had bought about 4 years ago. With that set up I was seeing almost
    every issue you listed there and only getting about 2/3 of what I was paying for in speed from my ISP.

    One day I had had enough and called into support to light someone on fire with my harsh criticism. I talked to a very knowledgeable, and extremely patient, Networking specialist. They walked me over my current set up and after doing about 20 minutes of
    trouble shooting and maintenance, we discovered I just wasn't set up to A) get the most out of what I was paying for with my ISP, and B) my network was not set up to support multiple consoles. I have in my home right now a 360, a One, a Wii U, and a PS4.


    Long story short here, as this post is getting a little long, I ended up making the investment into a new wireless router and a new modem of my own. I took the agents suggestion as to what products to get, and for roughly $150 I have not had a single one
    of those issues since. He suggested I give back the modem they gave me, which is incidentally saving me $10 a month in rental fees from my ISP, and get a Motorola Arris Surfboard SB 6121 ($70), and replaced my old Cisco router with a new Netgear WNDR3400
    ($75). I now am getting not only what I was paying for from my ISP but a little more, and my NAT has always been open and never lose connection, my latency is in low 2 digits (from high 3 digits), no more packet loss, and just an all around much better experience.
    I can talk to my friends and not having any issues.

    Now I'm not saying this is a fix all for everyone, but I know there are a few people here that are dropping the, "there's nothing wrong with my network", bomb that actually have no idea what they're talking about. At the very least, it's something to look
    into.

    I've been having similar problems along with my friends and I know it's not my network because I've tried all of the troubleshooting, my connection works fine with all other devices, the NAT type is always open, and I'm still able to chat with people in
    the party system(when it works anyway).

    Most of the problems like the issues with party chat I've found ways of working around from time to time but the main issue for me is I'll get kicked out of a multiplayer game and receive a message saying that I need to be connected to xbox Live, but I still
    am connected to it because when the message pops up I'm still talking with people in the party chat and can access all the other online features. I've even tested both network and multiplayer connections when this happens and they both say they're fine.

    As far as knowing if Microsoft is working on these issues in the next update, I've taken a look at the preview of the February update and the only issues it seems to address is not being able to see you custom background. It just seems like they aren't even
    listening to this issue.

  7. Shaviathen so you are part of the preview program, so you would of reported your issues in the feedback app, and read all the announcements and checked the threads and posts of other preview members, and all you found not able to see custom background?

    no, I'm not a preview member I just saw the articles and the major Nelson video detailing what the February update was going to change, add, etc. and the only things it talked about were transparent tiles for the home screen, game hubs for sharing information,
    and a bunch of stuff involving watching television, tv guides, and similar apps, but there was nothing addressing any issues or anything involved with games or party chat

  9. OK, he seems more interested in talking about the good stuff rather than the bad, they are working on the issues don't forget the guys on the preview have these issues and we make it clear we want them fixed,its slow and at times annoying but they will
    get there. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

    alright, thanks for the clarification. Hopefully the issues will be resolved within the coming year, I'm glad people are working on it but I guess it will just be a while before we see results.

    A number of my friends all share the same issues even with different I.P.'s and gear. Look at the number of people in hear saying the exact same thing.

    I do plan on buying a Motorola modem and a new Linksys router soon but I doubt it will fix the issues I've mentioned. Xbox needs to fix them or at least acknowledge they exist and that they're being worked on.

    I don't have to try and make the company look bad it does it on its own and to respond with the fact the 360 has been out for ten plus years, I believe I said I bought the 360 when it first came out at the end of 2005 and it had nowhere near the amount of
    issues the one is having.... And ur response may be that it has more hardware this more issues because of it but that's the problem, it's a new gen system like I stated above and there should have been much more testing and configuring to it before it was
    released instead of putting a unfinished system out on the market... And every successful business out there would tell you the customer is first and when customers are unpleased with a company, the company should have the motto "the customer is always right"
    and try to resolve the issue... And there's not a whole lot more complexity between systems when you're tLking about something as simple as the party chat not working... I'm done, I hope you get aids

    Let's stick to answering the question. The thread is asking for information of when these issues are to resolved(fixed) and I for one have special interest in the mic always on issue, as it is affecting me personally.

    It is irrelevant to the topic how Sony are performing as a company. Also threatening to leave Xbox SHOULD bother someone, Xbox(Microsoft) themselves, as you can not simply disregard a paying customer when they have a complaint with solidarity.

    I myself and pretty much everyone else with these problems have knowledge of all means of attempting a fix, what we want is a patch for the system error. No information has been given to either highlight awareness of the situation, or to make it aware that
    an update and patch is on the horizon.

    I suggest anybody with twitter to contact both Xbox, Microsoft and Xbox support about these issues, as this is bad press for them, so they shall deal with it faster. Because to be frank, the response time otherwise is difficult to describe without the use
    of explicit language.
