What is a number I can call about my Microsoft account for Xbox?

So I resubmitted the recovery forms for the 7th time and now get an email that I need to create a new account! What is the implication to my existing gamer tag? Do I lose it? Can I transfer it over? What about the fact that I just renewed my gold account
for the next year? Do I lose that? What about my kids accounts, are they affected??

What phone number can I call to talk to a real human being about the next escalation??

Hacking over xbox in general is something that Microsoft consistently looks out for and Xbox live does there best to make sure that hackers are caught. About a year ago, I was in the same position as you were, as I suspected that my account was being
hacked. Microsoft in general does not have a phone number you can call about this problem, but what they do have is a support forum which you can go to and ask about hacking and what to do if you feel someone is hacking your account. You can also call 1-800-4MY-XBOX
and speak to someone who can point you in the correct direction. Another thing I may suggest is going to xbox.com, click on support and from there type in the search bar exactly what you need help with. It will bring you to a screen where you will be able
to chat online with support directly. Hope this helps.

While I appreciate you do not work for microsoft I would like someone from microsoft to call me. There are wider issues here ... what are the checks and balances in place to stop people setting up microsoft accounts who are minors. I should not have to pay
for accounts I know nothing about. Hence I respectfully ask that I be supplied with a phone number to speak to microsoft directly about this or can someone from microsoft contact me.

You should first check the email that is linked to your xbox live account. If something was purchased it tells you the date along with what was bought. You should also check transaction, which can be check on console or on xboxlive.com .

When you find out what was purchased and you know it wasn't bought by your call you credit card number and report this. Thus, call microsoft themselves. If you live in the United States call Xbox Support number
