What irritates you about this otherwise excellent game? Flaws to call into question.

Terrible Matchmaking ruins an otherwise excellent game.

The game wasn't developed like a normal game. It was originally a side experiment project that started with a tweet and evolved and caught fire. There are a lot of improvements and changes coming still. I interviewed the developer and its a pretty crazy
story. They actually stopped doing some other things because of the unexpected popularity and attention it got at a trade show. They have a lot of things they're looking to do.

I agree. The changes are coming in regular updates. Looking forward to hopefully seeing this implemented.

 

I like this discussion. The freezing is annoying and the sound cutting out is a drag. I can sort of deal with the darkness but I wonder if that was/is intentional or not. How do I spot in the game? Is spotting solely a sniper trait or can every class type
spot? I do try to be a good squad player but I do not completely know of all of the dynamics of this game. I really enjoy playing BF4 and I do see how teamplay can be frustrating with less dedicated players or inexperienced players and it seems that if you
find a squad full of folks who have high scores they are more likely to communicate or at least help out the squad members more frequently. I got BF3 Premium back in the fall of 2013 and that was my introduction to this franchise. I am improving but advice
is always welcome and respected.

 

Spotting is a useful tactic in Battlefield 4's Multiplayer. Use the spot button while looking at an enemy soldier or vehicle to tag them for your team. If a soldier is tagged, they will have a red upside-down triangle over their head. If
a vehicle is tagged, they will be marked with a red star and a small red icon of the vehicle.

Your entire team will be able to see a spotted soldier or vehicle until it goes out of your line of sight for a few seconds.

Why would you spot an enemy instead of dealing with them yourself? Well, if you have a weapon that's best suited for close range combat, like a PDW or Shotgun, and you see an enemy in the distance, you should spot the soldier for your team to take out. If
you see a heavily armored vehicle and you don't have any explosives, spot the vehicle for engineers or other friendly vehicles to eliminate.

If a team mate or squad mate kills the enemy combatant you spotted, you will earn 20 Score for your Rank and for the Kit you are using.

hey I love to spot......but does annoy me if I happen to be squad leader and I inadvertently keep moving the goal posts as it were!

 

In regards to my early entry about moving when aiming Down sights.Youre standing on a corner trying to catch someone in youre snipersights while still keeping youre cover.the NeXT thing you know you have actually moved quite a bit out of cover.You should
be able to move while ADS with the snipersights at a fairly slow rate,but whouldent it be a nice touch if you could freeze you motion in the same way as you steady youre aim when holding youre breath?

 

Who cant fly? The beta was easy for flying once you set the buttons up the way your use to.

I wonder how much of that has to do with the game not allowing people to press themselves into corners as it did before?

 

Yeah the game actually has a nice lean-feature.Thats when its working that is.You can lean around corners,but you can also crip into cover,and pop youre head up wich is nice,but you still move about quite a lot trying to catch someone in youre sights.The
NeXT thing you know youre wandered quite a bit out into the open,and now youre out of bullets LoL I'v also found other situations where this can pose a problem.Like I was trying to snipe someone,and for the love of god I could not shoot a strait shot.What
was happening I believe was that I was pushing up against a fence at a slight angle of my line of sight so as I was trying to catch my target in my crosshairs I was pushing forward into the fence,but as the fence was at an angle it whould push me to the side
causing all my bullets to fly off to the side.Atleast I think that was the problem?Anyway what I whould like for them to do is simply this.You walking forward ADS trying to locate youre target,and as you press the button,and hold youre breath you stop.IMO
that is only naturel.I mean you can move ADS,but whouldent you stop to do the shot.I think so

 

^^Well, the natural thing for a sniper, would probably be proned out, not walking ADS with a sniper rifle, LOL. But I feel ya.

 

LoL Very true, and thx for not completely cutting me Down to size. To be honest im not sure why I bother, but I guess I just feel like something isent completely right. or maybe its just not COD LoL

 

Oh yeah, snipers not being one hit kills (as much as CoD) makes it a very different experience. I like sniping in BFs, but I can only do it if Im on a good team, otherwise it gets too frustrating. I did use and unlock all the sniper rifles in this game and
had alot of fun with them.

 

Commander is a great addition to the franchise.
