  1. What in the Wide wide world of shorts is going on?

1st, I just got the new update. It is what it is and I haven't used it enough to getting around to hating, or liking it yet.

But since Borderlands 2 hit the BC list I have had problems.

1, the disc based dlc from my Tripple pack installs but I go to use it and... No go? Reinstalled 10's of times and its still the same. So I simply switch to the 360 and everythings good for a few days then.... Items obtained from borderlands dlc goes missing.
Check hdd and the dlc is there but not accessable in game.

2, rerererererere install and.. working again on the 360.

Never had a single issue playing Borderlands on the 360 until after they were added to the BC list for the X1, which indicates, at least to me that MS itself is causing this in hopes of selling digital dlc (prised the same as it was back in 2009) which is
    nothing short of pure GREED.

So my question. Can't MS simply let well enough alone?

Sure, I didn't buy Borderlands from your store MS, but that does not give you the right to deny the disc dlc use as origionally intended - install to local drive ( 360 or Xbox One) and never have to touch the dlc install disc ever again.

    :)

A small group of people nicknamed Lizard Group, Denial Of Service Attacked Xbox 360's Xbox Live servers. Just Google Xbox Live Hacked go to advanced options and refine the results to results less than a day old. Redditt and Gamescom have reports of it.

The culprits should be caught and locked up in prison. DDOS thingy attacks are illegal in the UK, Australia and NZ. Not sure why US authorities haven't caught on it. It's not necessarily a hack I don't think. I checked XBL Status for NZ and Australia since
I'm from there and there is a core service alert which targets Xbox 360.

I just checked a minute ago:

    Xbox 360

    Affected services:

    Xbox 360 Applications

    7/12/2014 7:25:00 a.m. NZST:

Are you receiving an error message when attempting to download or launch certain applications? Don’t worry! We’re working hard to provide a fix as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience, Xbox members. We’ll let you know as soon as we know more.

I don't think it was a DIRECT into everyones accounts. They just clog the servers with useless information. In NZ/UK/Australia there is a law by governments against this, in NZ it's known as the Crimes Act 1980 something or 1960 something under section 250
in NZ you can be locked up in prison for is it 7 years, and for more serious offences, 10 years. These peps who have no life known as Lizard Group have been attacking giant global companies.

The next time I get an Oh Oh that shouldn't of happened, or runtime error on this site, I know who to blame. I'm sure Microsoft will fix things soon, they after all have experts.

Well this may not quite fit in with the section of the forums, I do get ^n^!! when someone tries to cause misery to an excellent service millions pay for and want to use. Microsoft does have servers AROUND the world in different countries, not just in one
place. Xbox Live Service is just Limited right now for Xbox 360. The culprits failed to bring down the entire service and keep it down for even a few hours.

I know and understand about all you posted. Even the latest news on the "hacking" subject posted by GameSpot.

Here is my Question. Why does games disc's not work when XBL is down?

Via the game disc. I can load a disc, and get to the title screen. But when I clicked (A) to launch the campaign of every game disc I own last night. It would only show. (LOADING) for better than 5 minutes.

What this so called "group of hackers" did to XBL is one thing. But my games discs should be able to play Solo Campaigns regardless of whether or not my 360 console is online, or off. And that's whats worrying me most at this point.

Now that I have had a few days to get to know the new update/UI of the x1. - I may be wrong but it seems as if MS, via possibly a series of updates, is getting the old X1 consoles prepped for UI etc that the Scorpio will need to utilize. - can't say that
I am a fan of the new UI but it is what is and what it is is neither user friendly nor desirable.. Guess we'll (Family) have no choice but to put up with it.

Main concern: Borderlands is still acting up.. Now when you go to a fast travel post to go to say. "The Underdome" from the main story areas it takes over 15 seconds for fast travel to even activate. (360, as I completely gave up trying to play Borderlands
via BC on the Xbox one.... Rerererereinstall DLC? - More aggravating than it's worth.)

Yet this game, for me at least, has such replay-ability that I've no choice but to continue to wait for fast travel to the DLC areas to work.

I'm sure for those who bought the digital DLC from MS Store that everything works fine. But for installed disc based DLC... Not without issues and issues that only surfaced AFTER Borderlands became BC on the X1.

Please don't spread any rumors about a hacker group. This rumors could scare people and the forums aren't a good place to talk about these topics.

    Thanks in advance.
