What have you been up to?

Been winter hiking in the nordic wilderness with our dogs.

Furthermore bought an extra X360 on sale to play some games during the holidays in our winter retreat.

Played a little gem called 'Brothers a Tale of Two Sons' which really put me in the christmas mood, beautiful game!

Also started Splinter Cell Blacklist and mastered the stealth on the level Safehouse with a speed run time of 14 minutes on Perfectionist difficulty.

Glad to say Blacklist is stealthier than Conviction in my opinion.

My backlog is way too extensive to even be thinking about next gen gaming.

I enjoyed that game quite a bit but I went off it a bit after watching my sister absolutely complete it. Doesn't stop it being a good game though : )

 

I like the Spy vs Merc mode(sans the spawn killing) in Blacklist. Even when I was getting bored, I still pop it in to play online. If they do a next-gen Splinter Cell, I hope SvM gets even better.

 

Playing the game in Ghost mode on Perfectionist does offer a good challenge but its difficulty is not as relentless as the original Splinter Cells. Do not play on Normal as you will breeze through the game.

I have not played SvM yet but heard the Spies were overpowered, how is it compared to the SvM in Chaos Theory?

 

It's way more faster paced. Spies being over-powered though? Not really. If you your team doesn't have good communication then sure but it all comes down to how to operate as a team and what builds you have.

It's not 1:1 Chaos Theory but it isn't supposed to be and i'm okay with that. I love the mode. If you want to try it and need help, don't hesitate to ask.

 

Welcome back Digital and hope the holidays were pleasant to you...Got myself the Mafia II GOTY and Mortal Kombat vs DC for Christmas plus also picked up Fight Night:Champion,SSX and Spec-Ops:The Line during some great marketplace deals. Received The Godfather
free from my nephew because he didn't like it which looks like an original XBOX port but i'll give it a playthrough lol...still got Dark Souls and numerous other backlog to get done as well..busy busy busy

Due to this thread I've decided I'm going to go pick up some 360 games I missed as I think the next new releases I'm excited for are Thief and Castlevania Los 2, which come out on the same day. Why do they have to do that!

That's not till Feb 27 though so I can easily fit some other games in before then.

[/quote] I think I need a break from Kingdom Hearts. 100% it is ridiculous. Grinding for rare drops and losing to a boss that can only be killed via magic is no beuno.

I did 100% Jak and Daxter though(but that was easy and I've done it before.)

I've been playing Mario 3D World (on World-Castle or whatever it's called) and it's such an addictive platforming game it's hard to put it down.

On Xbox 360 mostly been watching my DVDs of Soul Eater (UK Complete Series - I'm at the point where the Witch Arachna -- probably spelt her name wrong) was revealed and sometimes play Sleeping Dogs).
