What has happened to my gamerpic?

Ok so on the Xbox One and whilst I am signed in on this website my gamerpic is the way it's supposed to be. The black and white Viking face with a blood splatter effect.

But, when I see my posts on the activity feed on the Xbox One and in messages etc, the thumbnail of my gamerpic is instead showing an 8-bit looking Viking man which looks crap.

Why is my gamerpic not showing up as it should do in all places within Xbox Live?

Not sure if it matters but I am currently in the early dashboard update preview program thing.

what has happened to my account?

hello,

my account will not connect to xbox live and says "xbox live signup is currently unavailable" and displays the same message when i try to recover my gamertag. also, my gamerscore has stayed the same but it is not showing games which have acheivements earned
on them offline on the console but is on xbox.com. Please can you assist me with this issue asap.

I saw somebody mention they had a Viking pic and its changed so it looks like they have changed and just given you the closest pic to what you had

Why have they changed it... It still shows normally in places (as I've described above). I'm starting to suspect that it's been removed or somethign because of the blood stain... I hope this is not the case as that is really lame.

Like i said before.... I have been extremely disappointed with the gamer pics. It really needs to go back to the way it was on Xbox 360. Give us new gamer pics with the release of each new game. Imagine some Ryse Son of Rome, Destiny, Watch Dogs, Assassin's
Creed Unity, Sunset Overdrive and Dead Rising 3 gamer pics. I mean what the heck happened

If so, it was actually someone else's work and probably taken down for that reason: Barbarian Warrior by AivliS | 2D | CGSociety

If they're taken down, there's probably a good reason for it.

Hmmm, so either MS never asked the authors permission before editing it ot the author has decided they no longer want it to eb used over Xbox LIVE. Lame. Guess I'll have to find another pic, really liked that one.
