What happens when your game CD gets old/scratched?

I purchased Microsoft's Zoo Tycoon 2 about two years ago. It contains 3 CDs, and CD1 must be inserted everytime I want to play, which means wear and tear on the CD that's being put in and out. Well, now the CD has several scratches on it and I've cleaned
it numerous times... but now, I fear, it is done for. I paid near $80 for he "ultimate collection" of Zoo Tycoon 2 when I bought it, but now, is the game done because the CD wore out? Can someone tell me what I should do to be able to keep playing? Can
microsoft tell me a way that the game I buy from them can extend longer than the condition of a CD? Please help, thanks.

Ripping CD's...Why not?

My god, some of you people are really narrow-minded ^^ People still have CDs. If you love your music you probably won't get rid of your old CDs, but I guess some of you are a little too young to understand this. I also wish you were able to rip your CDs.

 

What happens when you change your game tag.

Does it automatically change to the new one on your friends list and clan list?

The games from Microsoft has a warranty of one year, if the cd is in warranty, they can replace it for free but your disc is out of warranty, so they wont be able to replace the disc

The option is to purchase a new one or used.
