Gamertag issue

You appear to have gotten a forced gamertag change. This happens when your tag breaks the rules. There is no free tag change when you receive a FNC. The random tag IS your free change. You will have to pay the fee to change it to something you want, or play
using the new tag.

You can easily change your gamertag for the princely sum of 800 Microsoft points.

Now if you were expecting a free gamertag change then I doubt that will happen unless enough people complain about your gamertag being offensive/racist etc which from what I can see it isn't.

You are allowed one free gamertag change if you created your current gamertag when you signed up for Xbox live though so you may be lucky.

Hey there, basically everything should update along with the new tag, the only issue I had when changing mine is my gears of wear data seemed to be tide to my old gamertag's name, so it didn't pick up my new one when loading, but that was a very minor inconvenience,
everything else was perfect.

Hey there. Yep, as DigitalAssassin said, everything should update. You might consider sending a message to your friends giving them a heads up of your new name if you're on Xbox 360. On Xbox One, the name change will appear in your activity feed.

the free gamer tag change was only allowed when your gamer tag change was forced. People abused this by reporting gamer tags that people wanted to change so once a force change was made they then changed it again to what they wanted for free. Because
of that abuse of the system all game tag changes now cost even if a force change has happened.

calling out tags in the forum is not allowed all that will happen is they will be removed from the thread as soon as a moderator reads it. if you see a tag that is offensive report them from the console that is what somebody did when they reported your tag
(you have had a forced name change).
