What Happens To Our Old Avatars?

I am wondering what will happen to our "old Avatars" since they announed we are getting new 1's this fall? We better be able to still use our old stuff on the XBOX 360 (even after the XBOX 360 goes offline one day). In my opinion the new Avatars should work
only on XBOX ONE, XBOX ONE S, XBOX ONE X (also the old Avatars should continue on as a XBOX 360 exclusive). The new Avatars should not be on XBOX 360 at all since we have XBOX 360 Avatar games there we need them for). What do you think?

As someone else said, I wouldn't hold my breath. I actually wouldn't mind everything starting over like gamerscore etc.

I haven't used a 360 since the One came out so I have no idea if they're still updated or not... Are they? With the Xbox One X just around the corner I can't imagine MS giving too much time to the 360. Maybe I'm wrong, but again I say...

What ya gonna do? There's nothing you can do but cry. IMO.

 

With the Xbox One X, I take it everyone will not play anything except the Xbox One X. It will be the latest console and there is a massive hardware revision between the original and X.

 

I still have my 360 avatar from Oblivion on the xb1 and the forums. I think it's just tied to your account regardless of the hardware you use, therefore it's on a 1 for all basis. I could be wrong?

 

fun comments! yeah i think the XBOX 360 store will be around at least till "XBOX ONE X" comes out (also it would be online till about next spring). I am thinking the New Avatars will be for XBOX ONE's versions only (perhaps our old Avatars will remain a
XBOX 360 exclusive (your gamer pics, themes & avatars all work offline on XBOX 360 already). It is possible they may run both Avatar options (meaning you could have either old or new if you wanted). I think that XBOX 360 Avatars would remain available on XBOX 360
since you have Avatar games that require them! As for do I have PLAYSTATION's the answer is "yes PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4 & PSP (but I prefer Microsoft & over Sony for many reasons). I do own all the XBOX versions also & I now prefer Microsoft-Windows for games
I can not get on the XBOX's (mostly older games from MS-DOS to Windows XP days). PLAYSTATION's are a 3rd option but I am finding more & more I do not need them anymore (many of the older PLAYSTATION 1 games have Microsoft-Windows versions updated on STEAM & GOG
& they look way better on PC). Console gamer #1 (Pc Gamer #2 & then Microsoft Lumia & Laptops, Tablets running Microsoft-Windows is next prefered to me! PSN store disconnects constantly & Sony has the worse customer service ever (Microsoft has always been
on top of things when I needed their help). What do you guys think?

On my xb1 my Avatar is from oblivion, however I noticed my one here is different so I must be incorrect.

 

The flashy (or not so flashy) gamer pic you create on Xbox One does not, transfer to your Xbox 360. As for avatars, I wouldn't mind upgrading to Xbox One's new avatars when they come out. They look way cooler. But I still would like to hold onto my Xbox
360 slim console which is still working fine from late 2010. I have a feeling Microsoft will keep the Xbox 360 avatars the way they are. Xbox 360 still has a maximum 100 friends you're allowed on it, but with Xbox One, you can have over 1,000 on your friends
list. Avatars are cool and are unique to Xbox. It's better than just having a 2D gamer pic as your profile.

Microsoft has not yet proposed and set a termination date for Xbox 360. And even when they do, they will still give plenty of notice before they terminate XBL support for Xbox 360. Since the start of this year, I rarely go on my Xbox 360. About 35% of my
friends list have an Xbox One. I will be selling my original Xbox One console a month before Xbox One X comes out with the GTX 1080Ti and i7-5960X processor and 100GB GDDR19 RAM...... just kiddin'. Avatars are a pretty cool feature. It was one of the reasons
why I chose Xbox. So I could steer at my avatar 24/7 and watch anime.... just kiddin'.

 

great comments guys (i believe like some of you that the current avatars will just remain useable on our xbox 360's and these new avatars will be for xbox one versions only). guess we will know soon!

 

oh ok so your just kidding? (lol) ...we know you love your avatars hahaha!!! just kidding ok ...really i am just kidding! but serious when i say i really want to keep my old avatars for the xbox 360 & for xbox one the new avatars (anways maybe one day we
will have a XBOX HOME & our own version of ATOM UNIVERSE & NEBULA REALMS).

 

I still have my Xbox 360 slim console. More people still game on Xbox 360 than they do on Xbox One. I have 70 friends on my list who still play on Xbox 360 who range from the age of 8 and up. Our old avatars (well not old yet as both systems still use the
"old" avatar) should remain on Xbox 360. Xbox 360 is so popular Microsoft hasn't officially announced a termination date for Xbox Live for Xbox 360 yet.

I look forward to what avatars will be like in the future. And while older people couldn't care less about them, others will. Our avatar is like a 3D interpretation of us or how we want to make them. A World of Keflings is available on Xbox 360 and now on
Xbox One (if you're that desperate to see your avatar again and have got rid of your 360). Doritos Crash Course 2 servers have like shutdown for Xbox 360, which features our avatar. Or you could go play The Sims 4.

On the upside, The Sims 4 comes out on console when Xbox One X comes out this November.

Some of us would like our "New Xbox One Avatars" to have a "XBOX ONE HOME" much like the old "PlayStation Home" (imagine controlling your avatar in a virtual Microsoft World where you could chat with other "Xbox Gamers" about whatever you want). Interested?
