    What happens to my xbox live gold account AFTER the Game Pass Ultimate expires?


    I see the deal to upgrade my gold to Game Pass Ultimate for $1. Sounds great, but reading the

    Game Pass Ultimate page     it talks about converting my account and I quote:

    "Note: Purchase of Ultimate plan automatically upgrades your existing Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass membership(s) to Ultimate at a conversion ratio each based on days remaining. Learn how this works at www.xbox.com/gamepass. Future code redemptions
    are also subject to a conversion ratio. Conversion ratio subject to change.
    All conversions to Ultimate are final: Once converted, you cannot re-convert your Ultimate membership back to a previous membership.     Maximum 36 months of redeemed Ultimate per account at a time, including any converted time from Xbox Live Gold and/or
    Xbox Game Pass (for PC or console)."

    Is the BOLD sentence above specifically ONLY DURING THE SUBSCRIPTION of Ultimate, or is this for the rest of the life of this account? I am concerned about what happens after the Ultimate sub expires.

    After Ultimate expires, for example, if I go and purchase a 12 month subscription for just xbox live gold, do I actually get 12 months of live gold, or will I FOREVER have my account be an Ultimate subscription account and that 12 month live gold purchase
    be converted to the Game Pass Ultimate conversion ratio for life?

    I need an official response, not a guess what might happen.

    We definitely brought the xbox live gold in july for a year and now it has expired i have not ugraded to ultimate game pass nor did i sign up for the ultimate... On my Xbox account its saying its the ultimate pass which has expired which we never brought

    I have cancelled my Ultimate Pass and I'm happy with 12 months Xbox Live Gold membership I was able to purchase after the Ultimate Pass had expired. My original concern was whether or not I could just buy Gold or would it convert to Ultimate Pass after

    We definitely didn't buy ultimate game pass nor upgraded to it. It was definitely live gold we brought have recipt to proof thays what was brought... Brought July xbox live gold pass put it on no problems now its expired and it seems to be called xbox
    ultimate on my account history... Don't know what to do now? Please help

    Currently I have Game Pass Ultimate subscription with recurring billing off and don't want this subscription service once it expires 10/22/22, so do I just activate my prepaid xbox live gold subscription card on 10/23/22, or do I actually have to cancel game pass ultimate subscription for my account on 10/23/22 manually before redeeming and activating my xbox live gold prepaid 12 month card on 10/23/22?

    Also, if you select turn off recurring billing on your account for your current game pass ultimate subscription, does that automatically cancel your prepaid game pass ultimate subscription on its expiration date? or is it requirement that you still manually cancel Game Pass Ultimate on or after its prepaid expiration date if you wish to switch back to xbox live gold using a prepaid subscription card?
