What happens if you glitch a game for free?

I myself have not done this however I know a person who has, and was wondering what the punishment was for playing a paid game for free, this is a glitch as there is posts on youtube on how to do it. The game in question is fortnite save the world

Because when third-party retailers put something on sale, they're the one taking a loss. The trade-off is that you're on their site, or you're in their store, and they're hoping to entice you to spend more on something while you're there. Microsoft already
got paid the full amount for those Gift Cards and Membership Cards when stock was sold to the retailer. If you buy the cards directly from Microsoft, they're the ones taking a loss. You're already on their service all the time, so they don't need to offer
discounts on Gift Card currency to bring you in. But they will drop some nice promotions on Gold now and then. And Xbox always has some kind of discounts going on for certain marketplace content.

 

If caught it would be considered marketplace theft and you would get a ban.

it’s against the rules but I’d also be cautious if you’re trying to casually throw out the name of your friend for any kind of punishment.
