What happens if I connect my Xbox to my TV and it flashes red all over the screen?

I lowered the quality to 720 but the screen still wouldn’t connect with my Xbox, and now it gives me all red pixels that are glitching over the screen

Studbucket33, the power command does NOT work for me. There doesn't seem to be any ability to control the Homeworx from the XBox One at all except for the black screen flash event.

Interstella69, I'm not so sure that what is happening to you is happening to me. I'm using a Kinect mounted above my TV to control my setup, which includes the TV, Receiver, and Homeworx. The only thing that is not working is the Homeworx. The black screen
flash event didn't start occurring until I tried the new update.

my data was corrupted on battlefield 3 so I chose to write over it then when I turned my console off. the next day I turned it on and went back on battlefield and there was lots of black dots on the screen so I but a reach in and the same thing happened
so I turned it off and left it. when I turned it back on i got 1 flashing red light and the E74 error is it all connected

Hi, thanks for the help. I did all the steps you said now the Xbox turned on on low res but there is still a bright “storm” of red pixels on my screen, it works on my second screen but still doesn’t connect to my tv. Could it be that the hdmi port is broken?
