    What happened to Xbox???

Does anyone else remember the good old days of Xbox. Back when everyone played halo, the game that carried the Original Xbox. You could play locally with a 2 player campaign, which was great because not everyone had or wanted to bring there Xbox over. You
used to be able to bring your games to your friends house and play them on their Xbox. But now a days you have to wait hours for a game to download. Even after it's downloaded you have keep the disc in the system if you want to play that game. Local multiplayer
has been killed by the Xbox one. You can't have an all nighter anymore and play xbox with your friends. You have to buy Xbox live which should come with the system and never run out. I grew up playing xbox and I made great memories with my friends. More and
more people I know are switching over to PlayStation because of better quality grafics and online multiplayer. I hope xbox will try and become what it used to be.

    :)

    What happened to Xbox???

Online multiplayer is the same on PS4 and they lack the co-op couch potato games just like the Xbox.

It's not the system that is the problem, but more like the times we are living in.

Having experienced both I can safely say it's not any different on PSN.

It's down to the games developers to put local co-op in a game.Xbxo One hasn't killed local multiplayer at all.Way back then xbox live was only just beginning so local co-op was added to more games.

Nowadays more people have access to broadband & online gaming.

As for having to have the disc in the system, how is that any different than when the original Halo came out? You still needed to put the disc in the console to play it.

Can't say I've ever had to wait hours for a game to install or download.

All my games are on a external drive, so bringing them over a friends is not a problem; most of the time it's easier to just party chat and play online though.

  7. Couch co-op games were always one of the big selling points for consoles. Kind of interesting that this generation that the PC, you know that system where loners sit at their desk, has received more local co-op games than the consoles.

Now that couldn't be anything to do with getting people to pay to play online could it?

  8. What happened to Xbox???

    Umm... Could be.

I own both current gen consoles with a spare PS4 Pro awaiting shelf space. (Why keep all your eggs [games] in one basket?)

I don't mind dl games, but what gets me is what governs current gen consoles and games these days.

Example, around the same time that Battlefield 1 was free to play over the weekend another game was also free to play, so I installed it and... "If you quit before compleating a mission your REP will be effected." WHAT???

I quit, deleted the free weekend game in question and... Can't figure out how to check my REP.

It's polocies like That ^ more than anything, thats killing this console generation.

  9. Pretty much exactly this. Local co-op is a huge thing to design and build compared to online co-op - All the resources to draw 2 different camera angles of a map means you're split your resources. Online is just a 'report to each other where you are' thing,
and each system only has to render for one person. It's sad too, because I loved local co-op

Ok, disregarding the huge wall of text, seriously dude, ever heard of sentences or paragraphs? Ill try and answer your problems with Xbox.

1: You used to be able to bring your games to your friends house and play them on their Xbox. But now a days you have to wait hours for a game to download.

(That's because your installing your games to the internal hard drive, install them to an external hard drive and you can take them over your friends house and not install them)

2: Local multiplayer has been killed by the Xbox one

(No it hasn't, local multiplayer was killed by internet making multiplayer easier and better, just like it did with multiplayer on the PlayStation)

3: You can't have an all nighter anymore and play xbox with your friends

(yes you can, just do it over the internet)

4: You have to buy Xbox live which should come with the system and never run out

(Xbox Live is a service that costs a huge amount of money to set up, maintain and develop, why should Microsoft give it away for free?)

5: More and more people I know are switching over to PlayStation because of better quality grafics and online multiplayer

(People are leaving the Xbox One for the PlayStation for the exclusive games, not for the "grafics" or the online multiplayer. The reason I say this is because the average person cant tell the difference between most cross platform games, heck even Digital
Foundry has to pause a game and zoom in 300% to show of any differences. that's not something the average person does while playing CoD. Also the multiplayer on PlayStation costs money just the same as it does on the Xbox One)

As you'll see I answered your problems, and seriously dude before you post something, at least do a little research about what your posting. I mean the thing about people leaving Xbox One for the online multiplayer, a little research would have shown you
that PSN costs just the same as Xbox Live does.

At the moment the only console manufacturer to offer free multiplayer is Nintendo, and even that will be changing this Autumn. And speaking of Nintendo, if you're after a couch co-op games console then perhaps you should be looking at the Nintendo Switch,
virtually every game has couch co-op and every Switch comes with two controllers, its a great console.

    What happened with the Xbox

    Hello "DrierNeptune54" :)

Developers need more time to get familiar with a console to churn out some spectacular games. The Xbox 360 games looked a lot better when the console was in its mid-life to end-life cycle. Now we have the Xbox One and it has to go through the same process
    :)

Have a nice day or afternoon or night :)

You do not have a lot of room to talk bad about the XB1 your Gamerscore is only 70 you do not play a lot of games. but you want to talk crap about MS both consoles are great they just came out give MS a chance. with this year E3 coming will see what is going
    to happen then.....

    What happened with the Xbox

Destiny is not a PS4 exclusive it is multi-platform. If the PS4 was so amazing as you say it would have more games by now being the fact that they are exclusives everywhere console. I heard Killzone is not as great as its predecessor Killzone 3. Also none
of the games you mentioned have come out yet which sucks for Sony consumers.

    What happened with the Xbox

to be fair you arnt going to see any differences in the (slight) performance differences until the back end of the consoles life. both consoles arnt been put through there paces and probably wont be for a few more years, If then the ps4 is faster and better
then i will appologise, but until that day i will stick with the console i prefer.
