What happened to the 360's dashboard?

Here is a video to explain what I mean. I can not remember reading anything to explain it. They have removed so much from the 360's dashboard. I just used it like last
week. They removed so much. Why?!!! >_<

5/19/11 update

hey, my bro has 1 of the 1st gen 360's but didnt get an alert to get todays update, my xbox 360 s did right when i turned mine on...what happened?

Microsoft what happened to your exclusives?

Uncharted happened...but really the 360 only line up dried up and PS3's started to hit their stride thus 360's looked worse than it actually was.

I don't get what's wrong here. I never used "The Grid" as shown in the video. Is this some kind of area with extra goods or something?

@Dr.Black Bones, yes you could get free stuff from the grid. Like avatar props, avatar clothes, and even recommended free games & videos. How did you not know about the awesome grid?

This happened to both my 360's exact same thing it reads the game then stops spinning the disc and black screens and if i try to return to the dashboard it freezes.

I haven't really gotten to play around with the Xbox One's dashboard, but I will say that the 360's dashboard has gotten worse. Back when the Xbox 360 first came out, it was pretty fast, but with the constant dashboard updates, the console is slower because
of this. Seriously, click on anything and it takes ages, especially if you're on an internet connection.

Change will happen, and with the xbox one it'll get better. But lets hope they don't make huge dashboard updates that will slow it down as it too gets to the end of its life span like they did with the 360 dashboard.

Having the same problem while I was trying to look at my achievements - freezes and is unresponsive for some reason. I will try the shutting it completely off thing, but what ever happened to the clear the cache / defrag thing?

Oh by the way, I think the One dashboard sucks - to cluttered and not easy to navigate. 360's is much better.
