what happened to my live account

I recently upgraded from my old xbox one to an xbox one s. when i tried to sign in it wouldn't accept my password so i made a new one then when i tried to sign in with the new one it said there was a problem with my account and had to be fixed online. I
signed into my account on my laptop and it had me make another new password and once i signed in with that one i had a completely new account. My old gamer tag was gone and changed to a completely new one with the automated generic name and all. All my digitally
downloaded games and content was gone. Can someone please tell me how to fix this and get my account back.

Hello, your "profile" is your "gamertag" if it was an online profile. If you had a different gamertag previously, from the looks of your post I'm guessing it was "Roguemant". You will need to download your profile using the e-mail and password associated
with that account. If you can't remember what that e-mail address is you will need to contact phone support and speak with them about this.

Each gamertag can only have one e-mail attached to it, so you would need to use the e-mail associated with the gamertag "Roguemant" to be able to download that "profile" to your XBOX 360 console. If you have access to your previous XBOX still and that that
account is still accessible on that console you will be able to view what e-mail is on that gamertag by going to the XBOX 360 Dashboard > Settings > Account > Manage > Windows Live ID. The e-mail should be listed there, login with that e-mail.

What happened to my account?

Your gamertag is the same as your profile so you will need to go onto your Xbox Guide menu and scroll down to Recover Gamertag, then follow the onscreen instructions. Before doing this I highly suggest you delete your profile from your hard drive so there
are no problems like corruption.

How I get a refund for the cancelled xbox live to top it up again?

That makes no sense - they advertise it as $1 for a month to try the game pass - surely they have to reinstate the live gold I paid for if I didnt choose to keep the gamepass (canceled it within 24 hours).

To have the games linked to play anywhere from your PC to the Xbox, you have to buy the game through the Microsoft store, not Steam. Steam is entirely different and is not connected to your Microsoft account in any way. Unfortunately you will not be able
to access any game bought on Steam through your Xbox console.

Game Pass Ultimate includes both Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold, meaning if you cancel Ultimate you cancel everything under it, including Live.

I suggest contacting support about your subscription and see if you could get a refund for the remainder of your 5 months of Live.

If that doesn't help the only thing you can do is consider subscribing again.

Sounds like you just cancled all your subscriptions for Xbox. Depending on the version of GamePass you had, you will lose the GamePass and Xbox Live if you had subscribed to UltimateGamePass. Unfortunatelyt you will have to subscribe to the services again.

Steam and Xbox are not compatible on the PC and there is no crossplay between the two.
