What happened to my games?

So I got a new Xbox for Christmas from my family. I had previously had the original Xbox 1 I bought back in I think 2013… anyways I had bought and owned multiple games which I loved including Red dead redemption, cities skyline, the whicher, etc. I logged into my new Xbox really excited to play, and I had no games! I made sure I was logged into the same email, which was confirmed. I then went on the Microsoft website and looked to see all my recently purchased. I had nothing in my recently purchased, but all these games are digital and I’m able to log into my original Xbox and play but they don’t show up on my new one at all. It’s making me buy them again even though I owe them. What can I do?
