What happened on Xbox today?

It's nice to see that Xbox Live is back up and running again, but earlier this morning, I couldn't access it at all! I turned on my XB1 console and was met with the inability to sign in or go online.

I did a network diagnostic test and it said there was an issue with the core services. I went onto my PC to get more details and couldn't even access this site AT ALL! Now that it's finally back up and running, I just finished checking the Support page and
the only service alerts now appear to be for the Netflix, YouTube, and Infinity apps.

Does anyone know what happened or why it happened?

Or was it just me?

What Happened

When did you first notice this issue? Have you contacted support to report the issue? "That BF Guy" has a good suggestion there about changing language but if that doesnt work you best contact support!

I much more prefer getting killed in video games than I do in real life.

I was on Xbox Live all this morning as well as the website. I seen there was a service alert. But it didn't effect me

 

I had same issue GG - Xbox reported that my network was fine, but they had problems with their services, Just chalked it up to another "outage" and did some real work instead

 

Yeah got on about a hour ago been down all day on my only day off of the week

 

Been fine for me all day but down for a lot of people

 

Did anyone have an issue with their controllers (Xbox One) being unresponsive?

For example, The A button not working in certain games but would work fine in other games?

Weird. I didn't check this morning. I hope it sorted itself out.

 

This happened last night for me, it was really annoying because I figured out you can play Sunset Overdrives chaos squad solo if you continue the chaos and no one else does. So I was enjoying that and the servers kept lagging really bad after a while and
then eventually kicked me out. When I went to the dashboard I couldn't access anything as it kept spitting out errors, that was my call for bed time.

I assumed it was another pesky DDos attack. I was still online but nothing was working and kept getting error codes.

 

APRIL FOOLS.... that's what happened. I knew Lizard would pull this kind of stuff off. I haven't had any problems this month. Maybe I was asleep when it happened. In any case, Microsoft is tougher than Lizard so hehee it's normal like it should be.

 

Yeah, it didn't take long at all and I have to applaud MS for that. Didn't even last all day, and that's a good thing.

It felt like my right trigger button wasn't working properly , I made a post about it the other day in the Aw forum.

 

Hacker group has targeted the Xbox platform services atm, so i would expect more issues until they decide to grow up.

That will mean that alot of services will be affected as the battle goes on.

Just wait it out. It won't affect everyone at any given time, so it will fluctuate. Hopefully it won't last longer than it has.
