What happended to the good old Arcade days of X360?

Greetings,

I have an Xbox one but I'll admit I do not use it very often. I recently started dating someone and we were talking about playing together on a console.

I instantly reminded myself of all the good times I had with my friends on the arcade section of X360! There were new arcade games free demos weekly and me and my friends had a regular night of meeting up and trying those new arcade demos.

One game in particular came to mind from those good times and that is Bomberman Live.

The free trial was only one level, but could be played with 4 people. I remember we played that trial endlessly for one night and ofcourse we bought it the next day.

I just checked the store on my Xone and the only Bomberman game to be found is Bomberman battlefest for 9,99€ and no free trial.

WHY microsoft decided to remove demos and trials from such games is beyond me.

Please add more Arcade games and free trials.

so due to being such an old console now arcade is discontinuing making new games, however, expect indies to grow as Microsoft main investments are in indie titles and many of these titles are more than 1 player.

I can relate to the arcade game o n there. Will say had a lot of fun, didn't understand why they took the demos away from those games etc. but that just what it is I guess lol.

It's not necessarily a Microsoft thing. Publishers find that their games sell better without a trial. By your own admission you just a free version and not the paid version.

assuming as people played the trial an never bought the game... Some games do still have demo though - forza being aaa example that springs to mind
