What game to buy?

So, I have 30$ in my xbox account that I'll use to purchase a game, but the problem is, I can't find a game for that price.

At first, I was going to buy Battlefield 3 but it isn't sold in "Games on Demand" and I can't find it in any stores close by. I would like your opinions about what game I should get, but first I'll lay down some ground rules.

-Must be a multiplayer shooter (No Cod's. I have 3 and have 0 interest in a new one)

-Has to be 30$ or lower

-Can be fairly new or old depending if it's full of hackers

-Servers must have lots of people online. Meaning over 1000.

At first, I was looking at Battlefield bad co.2, but got turned off once I heard the multiplayer was being shutdown. I also looked at Ghost Recon Future solider, but I do not know if the game is still popular.

Although, some of you may be thinking "Why multiplayer? There are some awesome single player games for -30$" True, but I want a multiplayer game to take my anger out on when I die 100+ times on DarkSouls.

P.S. All suggestions are useful.

Get whatever you fancy; plenty of demos about that lets you get the feel off the game. If your not sure rent some...

It's really to suggest someone a game when they've hidden their recently played list.

Anyway I'm currently playing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and the multiplayer is different from other games and is a nice change and it is also quite addicting.

 

team fortress 2, and halo 4 are my only suggestions. You are probably aware of most of the games that fit your criteria.

Halo 4 is an option for me, but I heard the multiplayer isn't the same as earlier Halo's.

 

Halo 4 is great, it's not exactly the same as earlier games but its still a great game.

I'm not sure how active the community is but Max Payne 3 is a very good game and its on sale for $4.99 this week.

 

So you want a popular multiplayer shooter that is not COD for under 30 bucks? Good luck...

Have you tried Warface? Its free to play. Its not the best but it might hold you over so you could save up a little more money to buy a better game that will be popular...like Destiny

 

I was thinking of installing Warface if I can't find any decent games.

Saving for Destiny could be an option , but a few buddies of mine want me to get a ps4 bundle with destiny included.

 

Gears of War Judgement! (You can probably Get Gears 1, 2, 3 & Judgement for 30 $) They Are Awesome, grab a mini cooler of beers and set up shop wherever you game. You will not look back the campaigns are amazingly fun.

 

Honestly, i've never tried any of the Gears of War games. I heard they were great, but they never stood out in my mind. I might look into those series now and will still wait for further suggestions.

 

Gta v has a good online and it's on sale for 30.00.

And Halo 4 does have different mp but is still good. You should install warface since it's free.

 

Hmm. I might try out Warface later today and I've also been looking around some multiplayer games and would like some feedback on these:

-Halo Reach

-Ghost Recon Future Soldier

-Gears of War 3

-payday 2

Reach was a great game. I highly recommend it, but as far as MP activity I'm sure it's not a high as Halo 4, which is still pretty populated and fun too! Yeah it's different. The controls play a lot like CoD, but it's still a fun fast paced game. I definitely
recommend it.

I can't comment on GRFS. I think I played the beta for that and I wasn't really into it. Meh.

Gears of War 3? I would get this over Gears Judgement just because it's got waaaaaay more content and it's probably cheaper. Judgment has 5 MP maps, 5 maps! I didn't mind it, but people hated it. With the season pass, you got 5 more maps which was such a
ripoff cause you needed to pay 20 more bucks to get a somewhat full package MP experience. Gears 3 should still have a decent population so if you're considering that, go for it.

And Payday 2 I heard was a fun co-op game BUT it's very repetitive with the same missions over and over and has numerous glitches. I think there's a demo available so check that out and see if you like it.

As for my personal recommendations, I'd go with Halo 4, Gears of War 3 and Borderlands 2, which is co-op but still lots of fun with a lot of things to do.

There's so many other MP shooters I recommend, but they're dead. If it's not a COD game, it's dead after a few months or years unfortunately. Battlefield Bad Co. 2 was an excellent game. Also if you really want BF3(which I think is way better than BF4) you
can get the game with the DLC for 30 bucks or less.

 

Gears 3, GTA V and Halo are the top ones on my list from this thread. Gears is over the shoulder 3rd person which took me a bit of getting used to back when Gears one came out but I really prefered it once I got the hang of it. GTA V is just full of
things to do and blowing up a TON of cars for no good reason is a stress reliever lol. Plus it's coming out for the next Gen consoles and you'll likely be able to port your progress over as well so there's that. Halo is Halo but really fun and has an awesome
community.

As for Halo 4, it's pretty much Call of Halo now.
