What franchise do you think has the most potential but somehow it misses everytime?

I feel like this about the Fallout franchise. If you follow the lore and "vibe" from the first 2 games you ca see the direction they wanted to follow. A grim apocalypse with a lot of references and dark humor surrounded by a vast universe and retro futurism.
I feel like Fallout 76 and 4 got a little too cartoonish with Vault boy and it kinda lost that vibe.

Don't get me wrong, i love Fallout but i just wanted to see if anyone agrees and if there are other franchises that did this.

That's a shame about Need for speed, I would have loved to have played Need for Speed: Edge.

Yeah I would like to see Fallout to do something else with the franchise. The game has basically been the same every release and the story is extremely boring.

Ah mass efferct a miss with Andromeda. It seemed they selved it yet now there is revival talk. How will they? With the multiple Shepard endings is there anyway to do a proper shepard sequel? So much potential but lets see where they go

Hello, i'm absolutely agree with you about Fallout, but personally i have some candidates for this category.

My picks is:

Fallout series, after New Vegas.

Need For Speed franchise, after Pro Street.
But there are exception: Shift and Hot Pursuit 2010.

Dead Or Alive, last 2 games is really disappointed me.

Gran Turismo, i really hope Polyphony Digital develops GT7, cause GTS not the game i wanted on PS4.

Battlefield series. No commentary, IMO BF1 and BFV lost all of things i love in series.
