What drivers can I use to connect my One controller with Windows XP?

Everything I've seen has shown that Microsoft has no official drivers for the One controller that are compatible with Windows XP. I understand they ended support for XP a little while ago; but would it be too hard for Microsoft to develop at least the appropriate
drivers? I'd like to use my controller without having to shell out money I don't have for 7 or higher. Are there any decent (trusted) third-party drivers out there that will allow me to use my hardware on XP?

Driver for Xbox One Controller new Revision with 3.5 jack

Hi.

I've tried to use drivers from this instruction: Connect Xbox Wireless Controller to Windows PC | Xbox One Accessories

But those drivers does not support "new" controllers with VID: USB\VID_045E&PID_02DD&REV_0203

Where I can download correct drivers for Windows 7?

Xbox one controller issues on pc

I bought a new Xbox one controller, and had issues while installing it.

Until now I used a Xbox 360 controller, on windows 8 64 bit, for steam Uplay and origin games.

Solved issues:

When I paired the new Xbox one controller with bluetooth none of the games recognised it.

I followed How to connect an Xbox One Wireless Controller to a Windows PC guid, but when I connected the new controller to my pc using
micro usb, the device manager didn't recognised it, it was showing as 'controller' with error 'can't find drivers for this device', when I tried to search drivers automatically it didn't find a match, I tried to uninstall the device driver and search for new
devices but then it appeared as 'unknown device' with error code 43 'Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems'.

Solution:

I've downloaded
drivers manually, installed them and device manager recognised the controller. then re-paired my device with bluetooth.

Current issue:

Origin games recognise my device with strange buttons layout, I can't use it like that,

Uplay and steam games don't recognise the controller at all.

Should I try update my controller? how can I do that with windows 8?

Thanks for the reply. In reference to the Xbox 360 controller, The Xbox 360 Controller for Windows is designed to work on Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2) and later versions of Windows.

Make sure the controller software has been installed. The controller requires a driver to work on a Windows-based PC. A disc that contains the driver is included with the controller. You can also download the driver from the

Microsoft Hardware website.

problem detection my xbox controller on one windows 7

Good evening,

I bought a xbox one controller with cable for my computer, I use windows 7 and I can not run my stick. It is not detected in peripheral and the printer driver is not detected in the device manager. I did everything updated, Driver Uninstall I know what to
do.

Someone can correct me on this, but I believe the adapter already has the driver on it; you just have to know how to access it through Windows 10.

The device doesn't have the driver on it. All the drivers for PC based Xbox 360 accessories (controller and receivers) are already part of Windows and have actually been part of Windows since Windows Vista. The drivers on the web were only for Windows XP, since Windows XP pre-dates the Xbox 360 console. This why you couldn't find them.

Thanks for reaching out! I'm sorry to hear about the current issue connecting the Xbox One wireless controller
to a Windows 10 PC.

If the controller is not being recognized, try troubleshooting the drivers for the controller.

If Windows doesn’t install the driver automatically, you can update the driver manually via Device
Manager. Follow these steps:

1) On your keyboard, press
Win+R(Windows logo key and R key) at the same time to invoke the run box.

2) Type
devmgmt.mscand press
Enteron your keyboard.

3) Expand the branch
Microsoft Xbox One Controller.

4) Right-click on the expanded Microsoft Xbox One Controller and select
Update driver
(On lower Windows 10 versions, select
Update Driver Software).

5) Click
Search automatically for updated driver software. Then Windows will install
the new driver for the device.

6) Check to see if you can use the Xbox One Controller properly.

If the issue persists, try a different controller or set up a repair through the

Microsoft hardware website.
