What does Xbox need?

First of all, it would be awesome if the Xbox live marketace allowed the ability to be able to rent games for a couple days for a small fee ($5 less). It would allow gamers to be able to test products before they purchase. So no one will get burned on
a bad game. It's ridiculous that there is not a system to rent games digitally already. Gold weekend with games with gold shows it's possible. Also there should be an Xbox social hub, where gamers can go to the hub, look for a specific game, and find a team
for that specific game. It would be a lot easier then endlessly searching forums for a good team. Some thoughts on what can make Xbox the true gaming station.

Wish they were interested in us gamers but sadly they think this will be a bigger market. Lol running a better system through their inferior box IMO, is just using electricity for the fun of burning up that pesky fossil fuel quicker.

So, looking at all the hype about the new Xbox so far , the one thing I can think is, eh. So it'll let me switch between tv shows more easily. Who cares? I don't even have cable or satellite. I play games and watch Netflix. So it'll integrate stuff with
fantasy football? I don't watch sports and my fantasy is to live in a world where they don't matter. Those are the big things they seem to talking about and focusing on the most and frankly, I couldn't care less. Not only that but more and more people are
cutting the cord to their cable TV provider so pushing all this development time and effort into something that fewer and fewer people care about just seems like a waste. Seriously, just thinks about what could have been done if those developer resources would
have been refocused onto something like actual gaming or even just reducing the cost of the console. Right now MS is just going out of their way to tell me all about features that I couldn't care less about and that, if I buy the new version, I'll pay more
for and never use. I want to want the new Xbox. I really do. My family has two 360's and will probably double that number soon (living room, office, and both kids will probably get them in their rooms at birthday). My son and I love playing Halo together and
have spent countless hours doing that so I'd love to hear and see stuff about gaming and how the next generation is going to be even better. Last generation I was a Sony fan because I thought they were better. The games for Xbox won us over this generation
in a big way. Right now, I'm just not seeing anything that will keep us a MS household next generation. PS4 seems to have better specs, all the confusion about sharing games is very off putting in a house like ours, and MS just seems to be moving further and
further away from me and what I care about. I like MS as a company a whole lot more than Sony and for that matter, I was a MS engineer for years (not employee, just MS certififed computer guy who supported their business stuff). I would like to stay that way
but as right now, at least, I've heard far more negative reasons why than I have positive. Please, MS, I've been paying attention but so for just haven't heard enough to make me want to stay yet. Please, change my mind!
