What does Titanfall offer for offline players?

On the Eurogamer boards a few have posted you can play on your own against bots, I've looked though since reading this thread and I can't see anything about it so doubt it somehow.

To be honest I have no problem with MP only games as long as they are good.

I'm still not buying this on day one though, I have my fingers crossed that it does live up to all the hype but I'm going to give it a week or so after release and see what the feedback is.

So I just got my Xbox One.....

Plants vs zombies is like titanfall...it has no single player offline either. It does have a single player mode but u still have to be online.

 

Anyone NOT excited for Titanfall?

@Gochosk: in what way does it feel like a Beta for Titanfall 2?

I saw something on Ginx TV not long back where the dev team stated it was online only with no offline play against AI planned. (@ Macca you could Quake on your own I believe against AI)

 

From what i can gather....i maybe wrong, its similar to the way Brink was set out, mission/multiplayer wise, which is more then likely why they said you can only play online! No offline bots!

 

I'm hoping this game turns out to be a pleasant experience though i was hoping for more than just 6 v 6 which is a tad disappointing but i wont judge until i play the game.

 

Hang on, we're paying £45 for an Online only 6v6 Shooter? I am getting this game but PURELY because of the hype. Its never looked that good to me.

I'd still be carefull though mate and not jump straight in if your unsure.

It hasn't had no reviews, only feedback from people that have played early builds, it wasn't the full game.

Sure the majority of feedback I've seen is good, I'm not fully convinced though, I'm not saying it won't be the best MP game released in years and until I've played it I won't know for sure but all the videos I've seen does make me think .... "Call of Duty
with Mechs" .... not saying that's a bad thing but I'm still not convinced just yet.

 

6V6 could work on small maps ... just hope there not vast like BF ! or you would spend most the time in various titans

 

As long as the maps aren't ginormous 6v6 will be fine. Competitive Call of Duty(lol I know) is played 4v4 and is completely fine because of the small maps.

Might buy an XB1 just for this, then again it's coming out on the 360 as well.

 

Not to forget there'll be up to 12 AI characters on each team fighting it out with you..

I really cannot wait for this!

 

@ Ingoish ... Depending on how the game is set up, we might see players just hanging around for the Titans. Same with Battlefield, you always get a 'few' that just sit in tanks/helicopters etc with an engineer constantly repairing them. I just hope with
Titanfall ( Wish they done it on Battlefield aswell ) that every player got a maximum amount of time in Titans per game, that way it gives everyone a fair chance and makes people play in a variety of ways.

@ Neurotic Hog ... I have no problem with only a 6v6 player count, as others have said as long as the maps are the right size ( not too big ) it could work quite well. I'm still surprised though with this being a next generation game the player count wasn't
higher.

As for the AI characters, hopefully it will work well but my only concern is as we all know, in a lot of games that AI can be a little stupid, lets hope it's not the case here. I wonder though with Titanfall with it using the Cloud servers ( like Forza 5 )
might we see some sort of Drivatar feature? where the AI is actually real players?
