    What does the out of warranty exchange accomplish exactly?


    Hello, my only option on the service menu is an out of warranty exchange. I was wondering, does this mean they'll just take my faulty console, switch it out, and call it a day, or will there also be repairs involved? I have enough to exchange it if the first
    scenario is the case, but I'm kind of tight on funds at the moment and if it means they'll only temporarily exchange for $115 and charge me for repairs as well, I'm kind of out of luck.

    Is the Advanced Exchange Program Under Warranty Only?

    I'm wondering if the advanced exchange program is only able to be utilized under warranty. Mainly because my Xbox is out of warranty, and it just started making this noise today:



    I don't think it will hurt the functionality of the console, but I'd still like a direct answer on whether or not you can do the advanced exchange program out of warranty.

    Great. Against all advice I bit the bullet and got a One X...right of the box defective controller.

    Considering the circumstances, that could have been much worse.

    Does the controller have a warranty or can you just go exchange the entire console for a new one with a working controller...?

    its not really better if the avatar is with another avatar because... exactly what does it accomplish? what does it help? there is no + side to it and there are negative sides for example it would definitely be a waste of an update!

    Hi LordLadyGumbo,

    You will need to send it back first, which after they receive the item they'll send another out as replacement.

    This is how it was for me too when I needed to get a replacement sorted.

    It's usually sent back pretty quickly too, or at least that was my experience :)

    Also do not understand friend, the warranty is where? Has Microsoft's warranty expired? Always remember to do things with authorized places and official stores.
