What does it mean when the TV shows white and purple lines when the xbox is on and off?

if you take a image that is very dark and light like black and white and you let the lighter line go along the app pins, it will change the color some.

That show I made my purple one a mix of dark and light purple and some blue.

When I then snap the app list it will have rainbow purple colors

it could just be your tv try your xbox on another tv. If problem persists it's the xbox. you may sowy be getting the RROD if you are using the original white version. My dashboard started out with black lines then they became purple and then finally rrod
and no screen.

I'll give you a hint, the red line shows on your original TV, but doesn't show on another TV...........................................

Another hint, it is probably your original TV.

I mean what more do you want people to say? TV's can and do break, I had a similar issue with one of my old flat screen TV's except it was green lines.
