    Dedicated Servers must be really expensive considering the fact that Microsoft can easily afford them and other developers are still sticking with the P2P system.

    There a cost, but one that is generally happily absorbed by the players, on PC they are happy doing it but PC games are about half price compared to console games in the UK.

    Before launch BO3 plus the DLC was available for £25 on PC.

    IMO it all just doesn't make sence.

    I read,some EA. games. runs on dedi. servers...Battlefield. Hardline. or Battlefront...Don't. remember. (and. doesn't really. matter).

    For me,dedi runs. better and. offer a. better experience....

    But. internet. is. internet,issues,problems. can happen....

    Destiny has a dedicated server of sorts but in a couple of regions, which is why the lag in MP is terrible. A good dedicated setup involves the servers being in many different regions like MS has in OZ now which is why I mentioned Halo 5 vs Destiny. Fast
    connection with zero lag and spot on hit detection. I won't buy any MP that still uses P2P.

    Dedicated of sorts isn't dedicated servers, its certainly not what people expect dedicated servers to be.

    I would suggest that bungie used a cloud system to manage some of their world setup but after reading some articles about the law suits and current setup I don't think they aren't that advanced TBH.

    Dedicated servers certainly isn't easy to get right, to many dedicated servers would mean a to small player pool, and servers to far away would create a situation as bad maybe worse than p2p in terms of location advantage.

    However publisher should have this setup by now and cross purpose the tech for all their publishing houses but thats another story.

    you wont see any difference - people just think they do as its what they are told by the internet. Generally a server connection is more stable, but its not always the case.

    Peer 2 Peer connection is where you connect to another player who 'hosts' the lobby. (see: Call of Duty)

    Dedicated server is everyone is peered to that server, so in connection terms, you are still at the mercy of distance, traffic etc

    Unfortunately, I abandoned the Halo franchise after Halo 4.

    I had a lot of fun playing Spartan Ops, but it didn't feel like a Halo game anymore.

    The last " real " Halo game that I played was Halo Reach. Halo Reach is my favorite game in the series because it is the perfect Halo experience for me LOL :)

    Halo 5 Guardians is an even bigger departure from the Halo the I love, but I do recognize the excellent work that 343 Industries is doing and I hope that they keep it up :)

    I will not be buying another Halo game ever again, unless of course they Re-Master Halo Reach LOL :)

    Play Halo 5 then Destiny. You will notice straight away.
