What do you recommend?

I can't recommend it simply because of the "way too complex" lobby system. I have friends try to come over from COD and they give up because it's too hard to get a group of friends on the same team. That is where COD shines.

How is this game harder and more complex than CoD? The “skill” requirement s to play this game is not nearly as high as you make it out to be. To be honest, this is a casual gamer’s game. The main difference between this game and CoD is that you need
a group to play this game. You can’t “lone-wolf” it. I fail to see how this game is harder and complex than CoD.

It has more intricacies than CoD. Call of Duty is just map knowledge, connection and twitch reflexes. It has no classes and any gun will work for pretty much any map.

[/quote]CHANGE is one thing, BF3 isn't even close to the usual quality (no sarcasm) work DICE does. they threw balance out the window, blurring what separated BF games from the slew of other FPS games out there. auto spotting enemy mines, claymores and other
gadgets? stupid 'easy button' patches. there used to be a challenge and steep learning curve to BF games. But that doesn't appeal to the 'instant gratification' crowd, so DICE 'changed' it up (install easy button patches) to appeal to the casual/dumbed-down
FPS crowd that preferred that 'other' modern military game.

The only thing I can agree with you on is your point about quality, as it applies to visual and functional aspects of the game. the rest I don't care about. as other have said, I have more fun with this game than I did with BC2 or BF1943, or BF2142, or
BFBC1.

If youre statements werent based on experience with previous titles i would have hated you...i dont anyways cause evryone is entitled to their opinion i just think this world is to negative.
