What do you expect from a next gen Gears Of War...

1. a more extensive beast mode with 50 levels

2. New maps, but NOT larger. Larger is not better in horde mode.

3. Less illogical horde mode maps. I'd like to see one where there is a flat land and a shelter in the middle and you can see the horde as they approach and you can try to defend the shelter. Fun maps like that would be great.

 

I really do not want multiplayer like gears 3. Gears one online was awesome but I know I will never get them days back.

 

Concidering its going to take 2.5 years to make,I have a long time to think about this.Pendulum wars,they never did show anything about it.Or if it is a brand new story do away with the horde completely,new xb1, there should be a new enemy.

Along side I wanna see a command and conqure/halo wars style gears game too,just to add some brain power to the game.

MP wants to involve being in space and or another planet,end of 3,the horde is destroyed, and the earth is in ruins,colonisation would be happening away from earth.

 

It will be interesting to see where the story goes. They can not do what they did at the end of gears one which is somehow bring back the locust to fight against. Personally I do not want a pendulum wars because I don't think gears should not be about human
vs human. Going to a new planet seems a bit far fetched they did not even have planes in gears just choppers. My guess is they will make a trilogy of the pendulum wars and the COG vs UIR. The war did go on for 79 years which allows them to bring in new characters
and they can also have a spin off and show the development of the locust and how the locust started to get overrun by the lambent. Then develop this story for the next trilogy.

 

I expect fanboys to cry about resolution and frame rate rather than just play the game and enjoy it.

 

an Epic storyline is a must

Gears 1+2 were fairly dark and gritty - i'd like that feel back

make weapons balanced and not just shotty wars

likeable characters - Marcus and Dom have been my two of my favorite game characters ever

perhaps explore the pendulum wars? This would however mean no locust

no old maps - all new please. If i wanted to play the old maps i'll play the old games - this is a new console and so i want new maps.

[/quote]weather effects would be cool. more destructible environments since they will be using unreal engine 4 i expect nothing less. along with environment executions, like if your near a car,open the door slam his head in. bash someones head against the
wall something like that. Dual wielding pistols. customization to your player. i never bought judgment so i dont know if all these stuff are already there. so please correct me if it is.

 

Better story,better characters,choices/different paths,explorations....and lore....

Multiplayers just needs to be as good,speed,fun and bloody as the first trilogy....

 

I agree with Blitz, give us some freaking long-running support!

I feel like the content dried up and nothing was really a must-buy as far as DLC!

 

As snoopy said, destructible environments would be awesome along with full on weather effects!!

Make sure combat feels like Gears as in up close, in your face battles.

Make executions important again and make sure Meat Shield is in too

Give me gears 3 multiplayer, with more blood and gore like the first 2 then make the game dark and gritty you have me sold on it. Can't wait for the next gears game.
